~ Yes. Its what keeps me sane here. Plus I dont often log on to Alla from home.

Hi Mattea,
I can't even get net access on my computer at work. I get to stare at a TV that doesn't have cable in the waiting room. I have Freecell (they haven't taken that away yet) on my pc and I live in fear of getting caught playing it.
I'm glad I can't get on FF at work - I don't know what my boss would make of Poopypants fishing in his Dream hat.

Yes, I can log into Alla @ work but the popups are sometimes greeted with <YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED BY SONIC FIREWALL> *insert echo here*

Not only do I, it's pretty much the only place that I post from. I'm one of the few people that is allowed 'net access here, plus my bosses even know that I that I post here, and have no problem with it.

This one I'm thinking about trying, although I would have to get one of those little LCD screens, and I don't even know if the game would be playable on it. I work as a doorguard at my college, Illinois Institute of Technology. My job (where I'm at right now) consists of sitting behind a desk all day long, making sure that students that come in the doors scan their ID's to show that they're actual students. I work 4-8 hour shifts, simply sitting here behind the desk. Therefore, if you go to the Valefor, BLM, or RNG section during the day, most of the threads I'll probably have been active on.
I *can* play FFXI at work, as they don't really care what we do here as long as we're... well, here. In fact, if I had FFXI at work, my job would be the best there ever is: get paid $7 an hour to just sit at a desk and play FFXI. Hell, after work I go to my room and do just that, except I don't get paid for it.
However, these computers are really sh*y, and have restrictions so you can't install stuff, so no FFXI. If I had a laptop, life would be great... But I can't haul my PC from my room to my desk every day. /sigh... One little improvement on my life would make this job so much easier.
(At this moment, 6hr10min before I get to go home. Sitting at this desk... /sigh)

Well I am one of the lucky folks you read about... not a morning person and I have turned into the undead... Carpe Noctum... I work graveyard shift at a un-named company with unlimited un-monitored high-speed access. I can access this site AND I am able to play from work (on my laptop) - but for the love of God shut-your-pie-holes on that one!! I am sleeping during the day (or trying to...) while you all are at work. I sometimes come home from work and play - depends on my tiredness quotient. I also work whats called an alternative schedule.... 4 ten hour "days" and off 3 days... so my weekend starts at like 10am on a Saturday and ends at midnight Tuesday "night" (or as I like to think of it... Wednesday morning...)
Just keep in mind... I am online @ work from like 1am until like 7am... luckily my LS peeps are all undead too so that is when we do the SP thing! LOL!

I also carry my own laptop and use that at work so they can't trace me even if they found out. But I'm not the only person surfing the web at work. Our network has wireless which I can connect my laptop to, so it's all good.

Wow, you guys are lucky. Our internet usage at work is so monitored I am afraid to check the radar when a storm moves in.
Even if I could log in from work, I wouldn't. When I am on the clock my time goes to the guy that signs the paychecks.

I'm lucky enough to have a lot of privacy at work. At times when it gets very slow...like now, I can log on to Alla and FFXI. When I do log on to FFXI I usually just farm since I never know when a customer might walk in. But my gil account has definately benefited ^^.
I'm lucky...but in a few months, the usual business will start flowing again and I'll be too busy to do anything :(. Oh well...gotta pay the bills somehow.
