You know it's bad when....
...you are so bored at work you start picturing your co-workers/customers as various races/classes of FFXI characters... For example, one of my co-workers, she looks like a really cute mithra thief, another short-plump lady I work with looks like a galkan kid, and the store head manager looks something like a quadav in a white dress shirt, tie and and black pants and then turns into some type of 'bomb' when he gets pissed off. Or you ask your tall male elvan party member(co-worker) if we should run for the zone when a train of goblins(customers) comes up to our deli counter....

lol, i've had a similar situation. A friend (retired) and I were boating down the Ohio River last summer. If you know the Ohio River you know it's notorious for debree. Well i was positioned at the bow of the boat on look out. "Theres a log!" quickly turned into "IT Log!" or "VT Tire!".. Lol

Back around when I first started playing I had a very long night that was occupied with FFXI, and very little sleep. Early next morning on the way to class I walked past someone who was rather tall and quite attractive. My immediate thought was that he was Elvaan, wondered what job he was, and hoped he was available to party. I made sure to get some sleep as soon as possible.

You know it's bad...
...when after a long FFXI session, you close your eyes to sleep or w/e and somebody's talking to you and you can see what they're saying in /tell, /p, /l, /s. Then determine whether or not it's important and if you should turn your filters off.
Not that that's happened more then once or twice...

...Live in WA and see a logging truck roll by work and your first instinct was "Wow, you could make alotta arrows with all those logs"...

...You're making something out of wood (Making targets for the life fire range I work on) and when it turns out well first thought is "Lelan's woodworking skill rises 0.2 points!"...

ok... if that stuff only happened once, it'd be funny. But now it's just plain sad...^^

you know its bad when....

you forget to eat for 3 days and only sleep ~3hrs a night. Then get sick, most likely due to lack of food. And somehow see it as an opportunity to stay home from work and farm that 100k you 'need', or try to craft cause now you can straight NPC the results... And the worst part is you don't have to feel guilty, cause you really are sick.

I've only done this 4 times, please don't hold it against me...... I only lost 2 jobs over it. ^_^

you also know its bad when your girlfriend is jealous of your toon cause you want 'alone time' with it... >< and when you scream her name in bed ; ; I have the bruises to prove that one.

When you've been playing FFXI every moment you have free time. Then when your RL friends call you to hang out you tell them you are busy because you have a Linkshell meeting, or you have to get that next level, or farm that money for your new equipment/spells.

Then one day, they call you up asking to hang out, but you tell them you are helping your mom clean the house, but your really playing FFXI behind their backs trying to fool them so they don't bother you and your precious play time. 20 minutes later the door bell rings, and they barg into your house, and find you infront of your computer, unshaven for 5 days, haven't showered for 3 days, toe nails/finger nails really long, and your only wearing underwear...

/comfort Geno. I am sure FFXI misses you too.

you know it's bad....

When you practice your monk WS while your sleeping (got combo down, ask my fiance' he has bruises)

You wake up from a dead sleep and its -20 out and you wonder if the Chocobo's are cold and fall back to sleep.

You point out a 'red rock' in the Best Buy parking lot.. and your companion says they can synthn it.

Oohhhh.... there are soo many references to FFXI in my everyday life.

Sure wish I had a Moogle to keep my MH clean so I could play more!

You know I sat back and laughed at everyone's yesterday but couldn't really think of one for me. Until last night ><.

You know it's bad when...

You wake up in the middle of the night and ask your dog what her TNL is because you don't want to log until she levels. *sigh*

After I did that I just had to /slap <me>.

I would join, but unless it met in-game, I'd never get to the meetings. I've lost employment over this games, multiple times... What makes anyone think I'd make a meeting? heehee
