Here is my problem.
I want to be a pld and unlock others jobs but i don't what job to lv to do the quest here is my job and there lvs
War=11
Whm=17
Blm=6
Mnk=8
now im lv mnk to 15 to sub him to war but i hate mnk
got another idea plz

Level MNK to 15.
Level WAR ro 30.
That's really all you can do. You want to level WAR if you're gonna be PLD, and MNK is basically the only job pre-advanced jobs that will work as a sub.

Well if going for PLD..then best to lvl WAR...but if you want to play PLD the right way you'll need to sub it with war anyways..i hate how hypocritical i sound saying that...since i dont like saying what job should be /sub for which job..and if you hate lvling mnk then lvl thf. I never lvled mnk myself..didnt care to.

You're probably going to want to level monk to 18 to get warrior to 37 as sub for paladin anyway, so warrior/monk would be my suggestion for unlocking. You might also want to level white mage to 30 so you can sneak yourself, so that you can solo some quests, but you still need to level warrior for pld sub.

Then go WAR/THF. THF 15, WAR 30.
Getting PLD to 60, you will then need to get war to 37. At which means THF to 18.

This is always nice to have but you only need to level to 25 for sneak/invis.
As far as the original post though, yes WAR is pretty much the only TRUE sub job for PLD. For some reason they didn't give a PLD the ability to provoke so you need to rely on your sub job for that. That's one of those things I think they should patch personally, but I'm sure they won't. :-/
They didn't give PLD provoke because it would unbalance the job. SE has said this. Think about how viable a PLD/NIN would be with provoke. Someone would figure out how to make it work, then it'd be a very powerful standard.
As far as pre-30 jobs, lvl MNK to 15, WAR to 30, then when you need to lvl WAR again, go lvl NIN to 18-20. A little more costly, but a lot more fun.

Well it was no offense toward mnks..i just didnt want to be war/mnk mnk/war one of my mules is mnk and otherone i'm thinking of switching to mnk for fun..just dont want it for my main character..which is kinda hurting me since no one wants a 32war/16thf nowadays... /:
Sneak is 20. I am pretty certain because just when I got 20 in Korrokola, I was running around Altep for the first time.
