Nebz vs BCNM20: "Shooting Fish "; Video footage inFollow

#1 Jan 17 2005 at 12:46 PM Rating: Decent
Heh, well finally... I read a thread of how a smn could solo the bcnm20 in Horlais Peak titled: "Shooting Fish". "Shooting Fish" is a 3 person bcnm20 where you fight one Sniper pugil and two Archer Pugils. After time and time and time again, I was only able to beat this bcnm once, and even then it was a little lucky how I pulled it off.... However, finally, last night, I did it... I managed to record it too...

So, if there's any that are bored and want a 30 min download, this might just do the trick. If you're a smn and want to get an idea for how to solo the bcnm20, definately check it out... and if you don't fit this description, you might wanna see the video anyways. If for nothing more, just the pure entertainment of watching 3 Leviathan's vs. 1 Ramuh (I changed the pugil models to look like Leviathan... looks really cool when they do their attacks).

Information about the video file:
Audio codec: Windows Media Audio V2.
Video Codec: MS Windows Media Player 9 codec.
Video runtime: 2 min and 52 seconds.
Video filesize: ~24 megs.

Video file url: http://www.angelicknights.com/media/video/Nebz_bcnm20.avi

EDIT:
For best results, right click and save target as... Editted file information after fixing the avi file to sync audio and video together.

Did you right click and save file? or did you play from my website? The buffering lag could be why the sound was ahead of the video... however, I watched this video this morning, and I agree... it does seem the audio gets ahead of the video. Stoopid Cakewalk. I purchased Easy Video Converter, but for some reason, it's not working... it won't convert the video. I'll try again when I get home and re-upload a fixed video if I manage to fix it.

EDIT:
Holy Crap! That audio is waaay off... by about 1.5 seconds too soon. :\. I sure hope I have the original video still... Just thinking about it, I might have deleted it and it would have been too large to occupy the recycle bin and would have been deleted directly if that is the case. :\... Damn, now I'm gunna be thinkin about that the next 6 hrs of my workday.

Definitely right click -> save. There's no way I'd try to stream 63mb. LoL.
You use cakewalk? I used that when I had my R&B group. LoL. Not a bad little program.

If I had em still, I could upload the 5 failed recordings that I had... then I'm sure it wouldn't look so easy anymore. >.>

Yea, used cakewalk to import video. The funny thing is, the audio should match up... afterall, the audio was captured with the video in the original uncompressed avi file. Oh well... inferior software I guess... then again, I'm not wealthy enough to afford Adobe Premier atm either. :\... just wish I could get Easy Video Converter to work correctly.

I know I'm just by and large a lurker around here, but I thought I'd say, thanks so much for the video! I just got Ramuh two days ago, and I'd heard about this one, so we decided to try it, and I dragged a couple of friends from my LS along. We got flattened, but actually seeing this, with them there with me...or even by myself...it should be easier.

/cheer and thanks!!

Thank you, this was my original intent on the video. Meerely an instructional base battle plan so you can be a little more prepared when going in. I did that myself with the mini-avatar battles and the video's I found in Karg's Video library. Also, lots of SMNs I knew on my server were asking me to take them along so we could do it... Now I can advise them to watch the video before we go. I tried once with another smn who hadn't done the bcnm before... Needless to say it was ugly when shiva (shiva is far weaker to the pugils than ramuh, she only lasted 3 hits... one from each pugil) died and my teammate was all the way back by the cave cause he zoned in and ran the wrong way. >.>

Hopefully not only can I look at how impressive the video is, but others can build a successfull battle plan around it. I also intend to record my next 3 person bcnm in ghelsba outpost (I will be playing bst).

small addition to the thread... it's not a solo battle, but myself and Tomono duo'd the bcnm last night. We won, but it was a crazy battle. I used 1st JB, Tomono used 2nd, I used 3rd and Tomono used 4th... You can see in the video, on the first JB, one of the archer's resists half the hit and on the second JB, both archer's manage to miss the JB all together. The 3rd JB hits for full damage, but doesn't kill the second pugil like I thought it would. So, you see me run to where the crate should pop... but I didn't realize there was an archer still left. >.<

If you wanna check it out, this video includes a lot more battle action than my last video of running away... Hopefully, my next one will be and Tomono setting the clear time record. However, in order to do that, all the pugils must be hit for full damage by the first two JB's. If that happens, the battle won't even last long enough for a third and fourth JB.

Anywho, here's the video, please right click and save.

File size is less than 30 megs and run time is about 3 min.

Hopefully this is being read... I'd rather just bump this thread than create a new one. However, last night I did the BCNM20 once again (recording as always) with a new strategy which paid off 10x better. If you thought I made it look easy before, please check again.

The url is still the same, but the file is about half the size... again, the url is www.angelicknights.com/media/video/Nebz_bcnm20.avi
