Since this thread has gone on so long, and so many posts are HUGE, I thought it was time to catch up with a brief summary.
Splitcell was booted from his new linkshell for being rude, and came here to ask public opinion about whether he was wronged or not.
Everyone in his (former) linkshell connected with the incident has a very different story to tell from his.
Splitcell says they are all liars.
Public response in this forum weighs in heavily against Splitcell.
Splitcell says we are all wrong.
Linkshells all over Cerberus add Splitcell to their No-Pearl Lists.

fowler is a nice person, I've had the pleasure to talk to her on a few ocassions

I won't mention anything about anyone's personalities since i don't know everyone, just based on the situation as described
Just because you're part of an LS doesn't automatically give you the right to go around asking for stuff...for anything really for that matter. You said that a LS should be a family and should help each other out, have you helped any LS member with anything when they asked? If you haven't then maybe you haven't been on the LS long enough to be considered family?
You said you <u>offered</u> to help kill DS since you were going to do it. That's offering to help, You could have just as easily said to the LS I just killed Leaping Lizzy! But i don't have the 8Kgil needed to put it up yet... Then if anyone wanted to <u>offer</u> to help you out with the loan they would have offered. Even after you asked for 8K straight out if no one responded then they don't wanna lend you gil...
I personally don't even ask anyone except those i know for gil IF for some chance i really need it and am totally desperate, i have too much pride to go around asking for gil like a bum. Also you had NO other friends online to ask for some gil? or you just couldn't wait till someone you knew to ask them for some gil? what about your friend? He didn't have an LS to beg for gil on? or any friends to ask for gil?
sure it's only 8K we're not talking about how much gil you wanted to borrow, we're talking about just straight up asking for stuff and when you get no response saying things that shouldn't have been said, If you have nothing nice to say just keep your mouth shut, maybe the people were just too nice to tell you no =P

IT IS A GAME!!!!!!!!A FRIGGIN GAME....GOOD LORD!!!!ITS NOT LIFE...ITS NOT DEATH....ITS A GAME....EVERYONE NEEDS TO CHILL..i have a sixmonth old daughter....now that is life...that is what is worth living for...I love her to death! I play cause its fun and relaxing....everyone is going off about this...its crazy...one more time...ITS A GAME!!!!! everyone is prideful...everyone is hatefull at times...who of us are not gulity of being a punk...or of being lazy...or spitefull...or cocky....or unforgiving...everyone just "chill" take a deep breath and look at what your REALLy living for.

If Splitcell's conscious compells him to answer to strangers after they gave him their opinion (upon request), it's clear this thread had an ulterior motive. I know neither Fowler, Splitcell, or this YF linkshell. As a clearly objective party, given facts first by Splitcell in his original post, I can see this.
If compelled for some God-unknown reason to answer to any of the subsequent crap posted here, Splits should. After that, let's just let the one die. Nothing good will come of this from here on. Good luck guys.

i debated and debated on responding to this thead, for i have NOTHING to do with this situation... but something folwer said caught me...
i remember bwing a n00b in a LS with you once upon a time... i remember you using that word a lot... forgot until fowler mentioned it here because... well.. i was a n00b... there was no debating it.
i remember being in a LS with you and asking for advice on how to do this quest or that quest... asking what i need for subjob items and numerous people would stop what they are doing to get me my items... one person who was extremely helpful in particular... your good friend sheppard. my point is, while others were willing to help me, you were more interested in trying to put me down... but i'll give you this... it was entertaining going off on each other in the middle of the night. it became more fun than XPing
as you know, split, that LS has since disolved and we got together and re-formed. we invite all the people that were helpful and are very picky about who we invite in. the result is a LS that will drop everything to help members in need. i cant count the number of times i killed the rank 3 draggon, went to the top of the tower for rank 4 and the number of magicties i've escorted people to. this is what we do... we help. and our levels range from people with no sub to 75. why do we have members with no sub? simple... they seemed cool in a pt and didnt act like retards. why not invite them? one day they will contribute... and they do(i swear this paragraph wasnt to stroke the egos of the members of my LS... this has a point)
we have had very few situations where people on LS would beg for gil or try to sell their items or whatnot. no matter how respected the LS member, this will always be put to a stop through tells. it's rude and inconsiderate to other members... the last thing i wanna see when doing whatever i'm doing in the game is whining about BS. that might really be the only rule we have.
you stated that simply having a pearl is reason enough for people in the LS to trust you. just last week we had a lev 75 rdm with a sack break pearls to all members on at the time. i wont mention names because this isnt about that, but is this person trustworthy? by your reasoning, he must be... he had a sack. why did this person do this? i have no idea... he denied it when it couldnt have been anyone else. all i know is he was one of the original members who disappeared for 2 months and came back just to deleted members from the LS... honestly made me wonder if it was a friend of yours because you've had problems with nearly everyone on this LS at one point or another and it happened around the same time as our last conversation... i quickly dismissed that idea when i re-read this this thread...
let's forget linkshells... we're talking about 8k... a tiny bit of change(especially at our level). you must have an awful small friendslist if you cant get anyone to loan you the gil... i mean.. i've had people try to loan me 200k(which i've turned down, btw)... 8k is a joke. with that in mind, you couldnt have a friend to attempt to sabotage my LS. that kind of friend would have lent you the money.
like i said to you in our last conversation... you're not making many friends in this game, split. you've developed quite a reputation as well. mainly because of the "everyone's out to get me" attitude. do yourself a favor and stop acting like a child... you're in your 20's now.

I do not know anyone involved. Hate to be cynical, but it seems like nobody wants to take responsibility for their own actions. Whether its suing McDonalds for making you fat, or griping at a LS leader for kicking you, please take some personal responsibility. And please do not join my ls.
lol, i couldn't resist, so here's a couple of not-necessarily related points:
1) if fowler is the shellholder (i'm semi-confused on this one, so just to make sure), it's her prerogative to make the rules. members who do not adhere to them are liable for expulsion from the ls (if that is indeed the penalty).
2) yes, no one likes a dictatorship. but in the case of the ls, it's up to the ls to choose a form of 'government'. i suppose that YF already has one, and regardless of what form of 'government' it has, it's the onus on the members to adhere to it, or be expelled (if again this is the penalty).
3) it may not be that any one ls wants to run like a dictatorship, but because of the mechanics of the game, most ls-s default to one. there is only one owner with absolute power over membership, and it is up to that one owner to decide how he wants to run things, with the aid of appointed sackholders. point 3 is indeed a reinforcement of point 1.
4) public conflict is frowned upon, but not wrong. if someone wishes to bring his problems public, it is indeed his/her prerogative, especially on a forum board. but if he/her has the guts to bring it under public scrutiny, he/her had better have the guts to withstand that scrutiny, and be prepared for all the consequences. imho, bringing it public is like polling the audience. just be prepared if you lose.
5) arguably no one should have total control over other peoples' actions. it's a sense of respect that we offer one another if we do not dictate every word you say, or every action that you can do. but, just like splitcell chose to be abusive, which is his right, it is also fowler's ultimate right to not associate herself with splitcell. i.e. no right or wrong, just preferences.

I have known Fowler a long time and she is one of the coolest people in the game. If I were her I would have done the very same thing. It's all about respect. /em cheers Fowler on!!
