How did the party look besides the two rangers?

Both times I got through, the party was 50/50 mage/melee. Something like RDM WHM BLM WAR RNG RNG works pretty well. Having three people there able to cure when the sh** hits the fan makes a lot of difference. Also, what was your animas rotation like? I've seen a steady stream of P's every 10% for the first 50%, then H's every 10% for the last 50% with T's as needed work really well.

You'll get through holla, and be drop kicking tarus into the canyon at blueblade fell in no time. Let me know when you want to farm again. Also, if you REALLY need another SMN (assuming vision can't help) I could level mine from 20 to 30 in a week or so. I'm sorta gimed at the moment, having only shiva, titan, and ifrit. Shiva is the one that matters for the boss fight, so I might be usefull. Let me know how I can help.

Well here's my new thought:
I can get my THF to 30 by the weekend. If we go in as PLD/WAR, RNG/NIN, THF/NIN, BLM/RDM, RDM/BLM, WHM/BLM think we'd fair better? I should be able to get an early SATA off the PLD which should do good damage and allow him to kite longer. After I get some TP up from ranged, I could SATA+Wasp Sting after a piercing arrow for Distortion, more hate, high damage, and poison to that SOB. Sound feasible?

Well the BLM doesn't have WHM up to par (to my knowledge), I can wear Shade gear as THF (it's actually the best 25 gear, sadly LoL), and I can equip archer's daggers to be able to boost R.ACC heavily and do damage as a RNG (minus the EES and Barrage ><). Maybe I try to get my RNG up to 30, I don't know. I just don't think I have the funds for 14 levels of RNG.

As WAR it's whiff central. I could do more damage as my 27THF then my 30WAR just by doing more ranged attacks and SA+WS. Also if things get hairy, he's down to no health, and I have hate, perfect dodge him and prey for a good hit. LoL. If I have hate I can hit flee and kite easier too. LoL.

I'm just sick of dying. I've wasted a good 10-15 hours of my life on this promy alone with no luck. I don't want to leave people out that have helped us through the first two, and I would like to fit Caelli back in. I know my DRK is worthless, I can't see leveling my SAM to 30 helping that much, and my WAR/NIN has proven mostly useless 6 times now ><. Can you tell how frustrated I am at this stupid thing? LoL

I don't need Promyvion Holla but I will gladly help as blm/whm if you need assistance, although I have no animas or recollections. Send me a /tell or post a scheduled time and I will see if I am available. I have never lost a Promyvion, perhaps my luck would be helpful ^^

Here's the problem Tiny. I have 6 people on my team that need Holla completed. I went without one last night and I felt like crap for doing so. If we can make two parties where we have half of my current team with 3 promy vets, and the other half with 3 other promy vets, then cool. I just don't feel like leaving more people behind. ><

So...when is the next run? I dont think I can wait a week! I will be on tonight to farm reco if anyone wants to join.

Well, if we dont get it we can always do AF quests or kill the shadowlord or something. You still need you garliage citadel coffer right?

Leet, I know you'll b e working out all kinds of pt configurations and I thought I would offer this: I think we all agree everyone must have hysteroanima. Change macros to: /item Hysteroanima <t>

I know the duration is 20 seconds which is what we were using but with human reaction time there'll be a second or 2 where the boss is free of restraint and hitting us with that damn AOE. 2 pts sounds like a good idea to get more people through and, with our luck, I think a SMN is essential to both groups. The only Promy I've lived through so far was the Mea group with Idelle and Enthuz. We only had 1 melee in Enthuz. Idelle and the SMN destroyed that boss and only used 1 Hysteroanima. This boss is tougher but with 6 Hysteroanimas and a well regulated schedule I think a RNG and SMN can finish it off as well. You and Glow are doing an excellent job kiting it. Our problems keep coming when the Rangers are being shredded and the mages have to move out of safety in order to get them in range for Cure spells. Then we get caught by Trinary and its game over. I also think for whatever run I'm next involved with I'm bringing something more powerful than Hi-Ether. They take too long to activate and provide too little MP for the delay.

War/NIN, War/NIN, RNG/NIN, SMN/WHM, RDM/BLM and either RDM/WHM or WHM/BLM with Hysteroanimas should win. You have 3 healers, elem seal+ Gravity, and either Benediction or another Gravity caster available (I'd say my Gravity spells without elem seal were sticking a little more than 60% of the time Friday) Just my 2 cents, I've rambled enough.

btw, I can always go to RDM if needed.

Sorry to hear of your frustrations everyone. I guess I was just lucky to be in the group I was in.
