Well kids......

......guess this is it. I have finally grown tired of the grind. I am moving on.

I tried the MMORPG thing, and it seems it is not to my liking. This past weekend I secured a new single player game, and my love for gaming was renewed.

I stayed in this game longer than I would normally have just because of the people. I have met some fabulous people and have made many friends. It is the kindness and sporting fun of you all that keeps the game alive.

Unfortunately, playing with consideration for other people seems to cause undo stress. There is no pausing the game when you are playing with others. Your skill and equipment MUST be top-notch or you are a terrible player. And, Heaven forbid, if you should ***** up and lose a battle or cause death to another player, you are banished to the "Crappy Player" threads and get no more invites.

Last night I tried three times with no success to win a key battle. I did not have to apologize to anyone, make excuses, or humbly bow out. I just hit the Reset button :) Gaming is once again what it used to be......fun!

I thank you all for your help, insights, and most of all friendship. I wish you all the best of luck and enjoyment.

Happy Hunting!!!

Only knew you for a short time and didn't know you very well, but good luck at whatever you do. You seemed like a really nice, personable person in FFXI and I hope all goes well.

You'll be missed.

You are an amazing person Nyru. I can't imagine you ever being on a "crappy player" list! I hope that everything goes well for you, and thanks for all the advice and help in the past.

Sorry to see you go Nyru, you will be missed. If your mind can be changed, please consider this: You don't have to have top-notch equipment in this game, you just have to be a top-notch person, and i think there are plenty of people in this game who know you to be just that. And if you are tired of the stress caused by high-strung prepubescents obsessed with leveling at all costs and unconcerned with other ppls feelings, then don't play with them. Feel free to visit vanadiel anytime and adventure with people who judge you on the only criteria that matters: you. Take care of yourself and we hope to see you again!

Elitism is common in this game >< Sometimes want to trash others to make themselves looks better or to show off how good they are. That is what I really hate "Who is good/bad players" threads.

To me as long as players research their job with reasonable gear, they are fine -- demanding all HQ gear or not allowing a mistake is bad. For the same reason, I hate power leveling as that make players do not learn their game.

Nyru, I haven't really saw you around in the game at all, except for the one time Chuji got us into an alliance of people I didn't know at all to get our papyrus for G1, but from what I saw you seemed to be a great person ^^. To be frank, that night was hopeless for any of us to get a papyrus that night. We had like at least 12 people who needed a papy, and people were dying left and right it seemed at every corner. I died 3 times that night I think, and also lost my level 50 again for like the 3rd time -.- But you know what? I didn't stay in that alliance to get my papy, I stayed for the adventure. I had fun. I probably wasted more than 5 hours counting the time I'll need to gain back exp, but I had more fun then, than I had in the longest time. And I thank you for the memory :).

P.S. I still need my papy. LOL
