Waffles and other misc. stuff.Follow

#1 Feb 09 2005 at 5:35 PM Rating: Decent
We all know that home made waffles kick *** (well, maybe not the commies around here >.>). Here's my question though:

Does anybody prefer belgium walffes compared to real waffles?

EDIT: I'm REALLY bored at work so bear with me on that one...

No way you can compare the soft warm goodness of a home made waffle to the truck stop sewer covers out there. I've only had a small handful of belgium waffles in my life and granted, they were good but I don't know if they were home made good.

I think it also depends which holds the better capacity of syrup and doesnt need too much butter to make it sweet. :D

Waffle > Waffle

Butter on waffle? nyeck~! Just the syrup, and lots of it, let it cover the plate and drip off the side. ^.^/

but remember, there is the dilema... too much syrup? or maybe just not enough waffles? o.0

I'm in agreement w/ typo on this one. Can never go wrong with too much syrup, but I know that's not a common law thing.

A spirited debate about waffels! God bless america!
#13 Feb 09 2005 at 10:33 PM Rating: Decent
I would have to say an excessive amount of syrup on 2 waffles would be a good combo for this.

what if I gave you 2 bottles of syrup, and 2 waffles.... wouldn't you want more waffles? o.0

Or... would it be one to pour over the food, and one to drink and wash them down?

FFXIRN,

I think the safest bet would be to take all the waffles you could eat, find a hot tub, fill it with syrup and jump right in. You're in a nice, comfortable hot tub full of nice warm syrup and you've got all your waffles just kinda floatin by waitin for you to take a bite. <Word>

Jogi,

LMAO.

Lelan,

Go to bed.

Butter? No thanks. Syrup? Nope.

2 waffles with a huge amount of chocolate ice cream and whipped cream between them?

{yes, please}

Ice cream eh? Hmmm... Well, as much as I'd like to try waffle's ala mode, I'm just not up for it. I could see vanilla or strawberry (SB only for belgiums). But chocolate? Well, I'm not gonna knock it till I try it, so it looks like waffles for dinner.

Ok here's how you handle the waffles Leet style. :-b
First it's gotta be Eggo Apple Cinnamon waffles. Then you use the toaster for crispiness. When they're just browning, add butter and put them back in the toaster for about 5-10 seconds (just to properly melt the butter). Then you pile on the Aunt Jemima. :-b mmmmmmmm... /em runs to the store.

Belgium walffes compared to real homemade waffles.
Butter or no butter.
Swimming in syrup or just enough to enhance the flavor.

All relevent and important question.

Answer:

Forget all of the above and try this.
The clouds will part, birds will sing, puppies will be even cuttier then before.

Purchase Eggo brand, strawberry filled, toaster waffels.
Toast until edges are just crispy.
Lather on copious amounts of peanutbutter (creamy or crunchy as you see fit).
Enjoy.
