Undelete a character....Follow

So, I was just cruising KI, and saw that I might be able to get my character undeleted... awesome, right?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Too bad I spent so much time raising a mithran thf to take the place of my beloved Elvaan. *Sigh*

I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad, really. Guess I'll know more come Monday.

Sure didn't try. I looked in the manual, and saw that it basically says deletions are a one-way ride only. When I think of where I could be now... makes me sick ><

Yeah, that was what the thread on KI was saying, that characters are recoverable. I'm going to give them a call monday, to see what I can see.

Until then I'm stuck between liquidating things on my other characters for start-up capitol to get Junpei outfitted, and leaving things as-is in case something doesn't go my way. I wanted to get Rank 4 done on Ahven, (current character) but I'm not so sure I want to actively play two toons. I realize Ahven is only lvl 30, but that's still an as[b][/b]sload of work I did to make sure I was outiftted to the gils (hehe, get it? gils? muahaha *ahem*) on my first job through. And I just finished the Utsusemi quest (thanks Peleus and Ferocitus, and grats Ferocitus on your Sea Serpent Grotto map), and got Tonko. Bleh. I think about all that work I did on Ahven, and have to wonder where I would be on Junpei by now. 50? 60? Rank 7? Promyvions done? It sucks to stare at so much work and see it going down the drain. But ont he other hand, it's great to know that I could be saing myself tons of work by getting my other character back. Rank 5, etc.

Just bums me out.

And where have you been? I remember when I transferred over to this server I would see you running around all over the place. Now, I never see you anywhere.

I talked with POL today about reinstating Junpei. I should be back as him in as little as 2 days, or as many as 7 (I assume) business days. Which, worst case scenario, puts me out of FF till next wendesday.

*shudders at the thought*

The unfortunate thing is I couldn't just delete my mule, and keep one open content ID. I had to delete both characters, which means my 30THF/NIN Mithra just bit the dust too. That hurt. A little. The Biggest problem is the linkshell havoc that will ensue as a result. Losing the mithra is almost a relief, since I was having concerns about feeling obligated to level her as well.

*waves goodbye to another 8k and the little bit of sanity I had left*

The best part is "we can't gurantee that you're character will be recovered" and "this is a one time only process, you won't be able to recall any other characters ever again" and "you may be required to rename your character once it's recalled." Big deal about the second part, the first part has me minorly worried though. It would be just my luck that I lose my 45thf, and my 30thf, and have to start over yet again. The third part will kinna suck too... I liked that I had my name. I don't like that there may be someone else running around with it ;_;

Im glad you got your character back. I have no idea what I would do if tinyterror got nuked. I don't really use mules, and I dont have any other characters. Don't want to think about it >_<
