Cn gil sellers???

I pt'd with them once a looooong time ago in Crawler's Nest.
They sucked at their jobs big time. I had to drop pt if i didnt wanna die. It was weird cuz they were in their 40's & i've never seen their names til that time. They had the proper gear & everything but sucked so bad. Than again it was a long time ago so i guess they got good enough to be gil sellers lol. I just find it weird.

NOBI SUPPORTS GILSELLERS :P. seriously, i was in a party with cndown or cngirl and they were terrible, went AFK alot and didn't heal. I was a Ninja at the time so it was kinda important to get those emergency heals when utsesemi dropped. anyway, this looks good and hope is a glimse of the future. Maybe now Nobi and i will get lizzie so we can have real boots of our own ^^

Hey Im all for lower prices... but my guess is the gil sellers arent the only ones that are greedy... who will be the first to put stuff up on AH for less then the going price? Its great to buy low.. but not sell low, right? I think its gonna take a while even with NO gil sellers on the server for the prices to drop. But, I can hope as much as the next person.

Any adjustment in the economy will be rather slow, as that is the nature of those things. Hopefully it will adjust in the appropriate direction ^^

If SE did indeed ban gilsellers, or at least some of the major ones, they will succeed in removing some gil from the economy (at least temporarily until someone fills the void). That in itself should get things going in the right direction.

I suppose if IGE and others start raising the prices on gil then you know that SE has been somewhat effective. Only time will tell.

Yeah Tauri you're right, it will take a while. But if people wise up and don't buy these over priced items for a month, let's say, then it will drop quick. (Not like people will do that though :-b).

If people continue to pay the gouged rate, they'll keep going higher because the supply is going to go down. That's about the only positive you'll see from the gil seller clans, they kept the supplies up in the AH. The problem being that they jacked the rates up so high that they'll climb from there vs. where they were.

Thanx Dahl, now i got a reason to /slapga you :P

But yeah ever since that update i managed to get astral ring twice from BCNM 50 i was so happy. i was thinking to try again but i didnt want to push my luck. I'm keeping the rings btw. good to see an Elvaan 13BLM/SMN in dunes with more MP than a taru WHM lol :P

& yeah dahl i want leaping boots, emp. hairpin, ochiudo's kote & other stuff we're able to get at our levels. I rather hunt 'em instead of buy 'em, afterall this game is for the challenge & not for gilselling purposes right? RIGHT??....right lol

OK let the flames begin. Ok now i hate gilsellers as much as the next person but from an economical standpoint they are all not that bad. Please listen fully before you flame me down to oblivion. Now The gil sellers that camp NMs all day can go to hell, they monoplolize certain items causing them to raise in price. But the HELM ghil sellers can actualy prove to be beneficial. Now many people do th e whole Helm thing for a little bit at a time, but there are more gilselers and they are at it much longer. Now what happens with hem present is supply and demand, They produce a large number of lumber and ore which keeps the prices low and stable because the supply oputweighs the demand. But iIf you get rid of them the demand will be the same but the supply will go down drastically. Resulting in raw materials rising in price which makes the end items rise in price. So the way i see it is "worker" gil sellers actually keep the economy somewhat stable. now think about this next time you cant find an elm long under 9k.

Good point, it will be interesting to see how supply on certain items is affected, HELM and otherwise. Then again, there are still a lot of suspected gilsellers around, even after the V-Day Massacre^^
