I have been leveling Rng lately and have been enjoying. It is expensive but they fun of the job allows for cost. Question being, If i wanted to help someone do something such as Rank 5 quest or AF Missions. What is a better way to help with these quest without shooting 300 gil arrows each shot? I love to help and love Rng but can't see a cost effective way to help with Rng and not spend 10-15k just to bring down Gas'con or riddle with arrows the infamous Marchelute.

Normally when I go help I skill up marksmanship. Also if you don't want to send so much money I would say just go with low level arrows.

Ive seen many great RNG's use equip macros for various things. Switching out cheaper arrows with expensive ones and vice versa. The poster above me gave some good advice in regards to leveling marksmanship. Its generally cheaper than bow...crossbow I mean.

If I were you, I would always have a quiver or a stack of expensive arrows even when your doing things like you described. Have them there in case of an emergency but mainly use lesser arrows. Nothing too low though, you still want to be an effective DD when helping friends. :P

Depending on how low the players are, you can just melee with a couple of axes. A 75 dual wielding axes can easily tank any rank 5 NM or AF1, etc. and deal more damage than anyone there. I usually just barrage occasionally and use slugshot with my tp.

Oh... and yeah, there's no reason why you can't use cheap ammo. You'll still be owning everything there anyways.
