I actually helped him get something for his AF the other night, and he seemed decent to me, maybe a little over-the-top in a couple spots, but I kinda wrote that off as youthful enthusiasm (God I feel old after typing that...) At any rate, what I wanted to say was, while it may be true that:
Quote:
its kidna amazing how people suddenly try to change their ways when they hit the 50 range and they need lots of help
but the real test of time is to see how they act after they've gotten that help, are they grateful, decent to you, whatever? Do they turn into a total jerk once they don't need you anymore? Its been said before and I'm sure it will be said again, but we're a small server, and the high level community gets to be a little bit tight knit. Now, I don't really consider myself high level or anything, or even part of that community (yet), but there are a lot of players that I'm starting to recognize by name/reputation, and it is important to be aware of how that reputation affects you... and that if you make one brief shining moment of goodness before suddenly reverting to the Jerk-That-Hell-Vommited-Forth-Upon-The-Earth, then suddenly you'll find (or at least it seems to me) that nobody wants to have anything to do with you...
So yeah, I'd help out when I can, but it seems to me that if this whole change is a ruse, then eventually he'll find himself standing in Jeuno in some nice cute blm AF with nobody to show, nobody to party with, and nobody to care.
I'll give just about anybody a second, third, or whatever chance, but the true test is time.
