Not your normal story... if you don't like roleplay-ish, don't read. Otherwise, enjoy or be disgusted at my horrible writing skills. >_>;;
Sotaka pulls out his flute, sitting on a rock as he plays it quietly in the tranquility of Ronfaur. A unit of soldiers of the San d'Orian army stand behind him, as they grumble among their ranks.
"Why do we have to follow this taru! All he does is sit around playing his flute! I signed up for this army for an attack on the orcs, not to just sit around!"
One states angrily, another glancing over his way.
"Aye... It's a sad day when one of the more 'Respescted' generals is a taru... and an ex-windurstrian, no less!"
Another soldier chirps in, chuckling to himself.
"You hear those rumors that he was a bastoken at one point? Some say the death of his general caused him to leave that place... I say that whoever killed his general should have finished the job at him!"
A figure walks up from behind
"Well, we've been planning it for a while in our ranks... we don't have to let the higher-ups find out about it if we kill him fast enough..."
The other three men grinned as they pulled out their sword silently and approached the back of sotaka. However, the man who had suggested it at that moment pulled out his axe and sword.
"Now, die, for the honer of San d'Oria!"
The soldiers yelled as they lifted their swords. However, their blades fell as an axe was in one's back, and a sword had sliced the other two.
"Now, really... I didn't think you had the nerve to attack."
The figure stated, a wide grin to himself. Sotaka puts away his flute.
"Yes, and I thought we had more loyal units than that..."
Sotaka states, as he glances back at the corpses. The elvaan of his unit now drawing their swords. The elvaan who had attacked droped the fake outer armor to show his real set. A combination of red, metal, and blue armor. Gothic, the legendary warrior of san d'oria.
"Well... If you're going to attack, let's do it..."
Gothic stated, leaning over and pulling his axe out of the back of the dead knight.
"Ah, sounds good..."
Sotaka said, standing up and pulling out two daggers.
"...What? You inted to fight with those toothpicks, Sotaka? I thought I told you to learn how to use an axe..."
Gothic laughs to himself as he mocks Sotaka's combat skills. then glances back at where the fighters were.
"...umm... where did they go?"
Gothic looks around the area, empty with the only thing left being the dead bodies.
"They... ran..? Bah!"
Sotaka motions angrily, as he glances at gothic.
"We need to go report this to Halver... hopefully he'll know what to do next. We've been acting a bit solo on this for too long."
Gothic nods to sotaka as he talks. He grumbles as he puts away his axe and they head off for San d'Oria.
San d'Oria
"Halver, reporting in!"
Sotaka and gothic state as they salute. Halver gives a long, cold stare at them.
"We need to report recent events from Ronfaur Forest, sir."
Gothic states, but halver begins waving, calling in units from around the castle.
"I already know everything needed. And for your treason, the price shall be death!"
Sotaka takes a step back, as he glances around.
"Treason? Death!? What are you talking about?"
He laughs, as a few of the gaurds grab sotaka. Halver glances at gothic.
"You don't have to go down with this scumbag, Gothic. Just say the word, and this filty taru will be the only one rotting in the dungoun."
Gothic grabs his axe and sword, motioning angrily to halver.
"Ah... we should have known the set up was deeper than that..."
Gothic states, as he turns around and quickly slices down the gaurds holding sotaka.
"I'll have to pass on that one!"
Sotaka plays a quick song, the units falling over with sleep, the others drawing their blade out.
"Gothic, port san d'oria, NOW."
He yells to gothic, as they both charge out the door.
Port San d'Oria.
Sotaka runs up, tired from fleeing their persuers. Gothic is close behind, his axe coated with a fresh coat of blood.
"So, airship out?"
Gothic asked, as he looked to Sotaka.
"Yea... the only way to fly..."
He stated, as he pointed to the now landing airship. However, they could also see units of the San d'Orian army pouring out and gaurding the way in.
"We'll just have to break through..."
Gothic states with a wide grin on his face. They both run for the door as more units head out towards them from behind. Sotaka stumbles through his bag as he pulls out an old harp.
They both run into the group at the airship. Sotaka singing another song to lull a good majority to sleep. Gothic quickly disposes of any other units that may get in their way, and they jump on the airship.
A hume stands on the airship, and gothic mistakes him for an enemy, quickly nocking him unconcious with his blade.
"Gothic! You idiot! That was lindain!"
Karoro stood to the side of the now unconconcious lindain. He motions angrily.
"I should cast one of my biggest explosions on you... but we need this Airship to get out, so be grateful!"
the units that had been lulled to sleep began to slowly awake. as karoro yelled at gothic.
"Oh no-no-no-no-noooo. You're going to go to sleep in a different way!"
He yelled out, as he realeased magic from his hands that caused the units to burst into flames. The knights run and jump into the water to put the fire out, and the airship takes off.
Well, that's all for tonight >_>
Any oppinions appreciated.
