I never thought this game was so easy to Hack...Follow

#1 Mar 16 2005 at 11:51 AM Rating: Decent
ok ill start of by saying that i am a pld who makes his money from farming major NMs like Lizzy or the VE. And ill say beforehand that i have other ways of getting gil so its not an entirely necceserity for me to go of farming NMs but anyway.

These past 5 days has made me utterly pissed off (and its quite uncommon that a game can **** me off). Ok so i roam around got nothing to do. Decide i could kill some time campin Lizzy hopefully get myself a pair of boots to sell and get a little extra spare change. And when i get there i see someone killing Lizzy, and people around this person are yelling and flaming at him/her. And i was just like: "what going on here!?".

And they let me in on the info that this character namned Celesyna is a bot (there is one more but i cant remember its name). So it turnes out some one has hacked this game or this character to have it engage Lizzy in the very split second it appears.

No joke, i heard recently there was a 6 man group campin Lizzy just to beat those bots to it. But still Lizzy spawned and they got to it first, one of these bots is like lv.15 war no subjob. and still he/she was able to pinpoint Lizzy spawning on the furthest outskirts downhill towards the Furmaoils, from his/her current position by the small mountain thingy.

Its almost like they can teleport to Lizzy wherever it is. Or they know where Lizzy will spawn and stand around waiting at the very spot, before anyone else has noticed it on widescan.

Anyway the reason this has pissed me off is because clearly this is the work of a gil-seller (or several). And i just hate that they just waltz in and starts hacking this game and kills the fun of NM camping with such a lowly way of doing it.

Anyway, me along with probably 20 people or more has reported this to the GMs and hopefully this matter will be resolved.
But the thing that bugs me is that if this game can be hacked so easily than more will surely follow andd create more and more bots. Oh the horror...

Anyway i just wanted to share this information. If there are any hardcore NM camping groups out here. I would like to see someone beat those bots silly by claiming it first^^

Voke bots are nothing new really. There also bots that detect packets and able to claim the mob before it shows on the screen. There are known groups that uses that bots to claim certain NMs/HNMs.

It is sad that people will go this far out to make VIRTUAL money... Give me 1 million US dollars instead >.>

The problem is that they're not doing it to make virtual money. They're doing it to make real money. They sell the gil to the companies on the net. The companies in turn sell it to buyers that can't get the NM's and drops because the gil sellers are claiming them with their bots. I'm sure i've seen you out around Lizzy the last few days. I've been out there camping against Cel and her gang off and on for the last 4 or 5 days. I am proud to say that i somehow managed to get it 3 times from them (with no drop). Here's a good bot story I wish would happen more often:

Lizzy popped on widescan. I get there, and one of the bots already has it claimed, but isn't fighting (glitch in the ol' bot program?) Every 30 seconds the bot vokes religiously but still does not fight. They are a lvl 15 WAR without subjob, so it doesn't take more than 5 minutes for Lizzy to finally wear them down. The bot character falls over dead. Meanwhile, i'm standing there spamming "Steal" and grab Lizzy from the fallen bot! Yeah, mark one up for the good guys (and ladies). No drop, but still, Lizzy beat the bot and i had a good laugh!!!

By the way, I have also reported Cel$&#%# to the GM's.

Good luck on camping, let's get em!

One thing i would have done infinitley if it were possible...

If only there were mobs hanging in South gustaberg that can aggro a lv.15 player. Then i would gladly guide it all the way over to those stinkin bots and warp back to bastok just to see it die, slow and miserable.

Its amazing that youve managed to claim it before they do though. Lizzy mustve popped right infront of you ^^
heh If only i could get that lucky. Oh well i just hope these stupid bots gets erased as soon as possible, so that i can go on doing what i like to do=)

same thing happened to me and some friends in ordelles other day. this one char, theusiow, would use prism powder, go invis, and magically end up right where stroper popped. of course it pops claimed and me and my friends are out 15 minutes of our time. i called gm, and the char went back to jeuno, but next day they were back in there ><
#7 Mar 16 2005 at 8:44 PM Rating: Decent
Theusiow is not a bot, or a hacker. He is a high level WHM with holy (cast of 1 second), voke is not the best post 40, >_> and half of these bots out there are to make gil. The gil sellers mine, and fish, as those bots give them more money, my 2 cents ne who. Good luck with the camping.
#8 Mar 17 2005 at 8:33 AM Rating: Decent
Most gil sellers live in a foreign country where they can make alot of money doing this.

I read one story where some guy in India hired people for a couple dollars a hour just to play WoW and make gold. Then he would sell their gold on a online site and make a profit.

I wouldn't think any Americans would bother botting hardcore as there are plenty of jobs out there that pay much more.

Go kill Stroper Chyme and search the area.....everyone in there has a chinese name.

actually, the 2 times I got it that wasn't from the death of the bot, the spawn was in an obscure spot to the north, just one lvl down from the top lvl around the rocks. None of the bots were close enough to the spot to have voke work. The one time I was even able to run clear across the map to get to it. I was as shocked and pumped up as anyone! LOL

The point is as long as people buy gil/gold/virtual money, there will be people who using improper methods to make virtual money to make real money.

A lot of posts about gil sellers/buyers becomes blame game and finger pointing. No one wants to take blame and always blame others, while it is clear to me no single individual/group should take all the blame. i.e. SE should take stronger action against such campers, players should not buy gil, more veterns player should help out/or teach lower level player how to make money in the game.

I am really sick of these topics and people complaining about "gil sellers."

Anyone who claims it before you must be a gil seller and is hacking. Why not instead of crying over magical teleporting, you should either try another way to make gil or shut up and actually camp it a few times.

But I really don't expect you to claim it when "they know where Lizzy will spawn and stand around waiting at the very spot, before anyone else has noticed it on widescan." It's called experince. The lizards always pop in the same spots. So while you are too busy whoring widescan, anyone can easily claim it by just waiting by the next spawn.

I run into people like you every single online game, whenever someone beats you at something then he's automatically cheating so you have to go cry to a GM or post these stupid topics.

Just the other day some person in my LS was whining cause she claimed Japanese players camped the eldeime necropolis coffer so she couldn't get her coffer. Yeah, it was either that or she gave up after 30 minutes because she had no idea where they spawned and just went off and ******* like you.

It's life, get used to it. I know you need to whine claiming "someone has hacked this game" (funny someone has hacked into the servers and instead of just giving themselves gil they take the time to somehow rewrite the entire script just for them to claim Lizzy everytime.) But please just stopped these topics.

Yea, enough complaining about Gil-Sellers.

Just remember this: "What comes around goes around."

The gil-sellers will get their medicine soon enough. But in the meantime just play and try to improve the AH economy.

And i despise people like you, who tries to act all high and mighty. If your that sure of yourself venture down to the lizzy spawn and just try to camp it and youll see what i mean.

And dont give me any "experience" crap ive camped and killed Lizzy for about 50 times during my time in Vana Diel.

And im not ******** about that they are better than me at camping.
Im ******** that they never stop camping. Theyve been campin Lizzy 24/7 for this past week. And are still a lv15 war. Either the person who controls this character is not in the least bit interested in moving on with the game, see new places etc. Or its simply a gil-seller tool.

WTF are you talking about???? If you read what Dewval wrote you will find out that it is indeed a bot, you dont gotta act like your a tough guy cuz 'know' where lizzie spawns. I'm sure all the people that have spoted these bots know where lizzie spawns too, but its hard to get claim when they have people all over all the spawn points with a voke bot. There is someone in Chyme spot named Gamegirl and if you dont think she is a bot then tell me why she is in that cave 24/7 with out taking a break, go look at the AH and im sure you will see alot of the same names for Lizzie boots, and Archer ring. But dont come on here and try to put people down because you think you are a tough guy or somethin but maybe you should go camp lizzie and see how they feel. Its also no suprise that the Emperor Hairpin is now over 1 Mil are you kidding me. Tell me you dont think Gil Sellers and Buyers have nothing to do with that. Its obvious that there is still problems with Gil sellers cuz the inflation horrible.

About the bot there are 3 15 war that camp from what i have seen 24/7 but if you talk to them(tells) you will get responded too(sometims) so very good bot or very patient people lol
They started about a month ago and been there LOTS i have camped LL with them there and been beaten everytime to LL. Although 1 time only 1 of Celyuna's (sp.)group of 3 fought and a lizzy linked I waited and after he died just voked and got lizzy (no drop) but other 2 campers never moved or responded for hours after the fact.
IMHO they are real people that have a bot program they use 95% of time and spend some time in front of PC. Still think they should be banned ASAP

Actually, no one claimed anyone is hacking into the servers. And no one has. They're waaay to secure for that...the servers are SE/POL's lifeblood.

The hack is on the player side. The bots are able to react more quickly (in the programmed circumstances) than a human.

The 'instantly appearing to get the claim' thing sounds familiar...

The other night I decided to try logging for the first time. So I went to the place with the most concentration of logging points: Ghebelsa Outpost.

As soon as I got in to the foresty area, I noticed two harvesters in there already. A Hume female named Dsw, and a mithra.

So I try to go grab the nearest logging point. I go through the menu to use the hatchet, (cuz I'm too lazy to make a macro for it) and just as I was about to use it, Dsw ZOOMS in on what looked like hyper-flee, and is chopping away already. She repeats this several times, and beats me to several points already.

I complain loudly that I just wanna break the hatchets and get outta here (I only brought 2 for experimental reasons... I'm amazed at how durable these hatchets are compared to pickaxes that break like toothpicks -_-;; ).

The other logger sends me a tell explaining that Dsw is a chinese gil-seller. This makes me angry. I don't know any Chinese, so I just tell her "Get a real job ******". She responds in all caps the romanji version of a three word sentance or phrase or something... I forgot what it was, but I don't care.

Soon, I try to beat her at her own game. I start searching for the next logging point, and when I find it, I lock on and follow it, while spamming the use of a hatchet until I hit the tree. I manage to fill up my inventory with various logs, still have both hatchets, and leave. I vow to never log again, (all my logs were worth about 300g... pfft, mining is more profitable!)

I don’t think it has anything really to do with botting it has more of a thing where real life players cannot combat against players who are actually making a living off the game. This is from personal experience. I know a lot of you know who the infamous CN gang is, and how they use to camp stroper chyme 24/7. Picture this if you will when any of us go in to camp an NM these people go on over drive and play even harder, using voke or bot programs (or other means necessary if needed) to increase their chances of actually getting a claim, but like all of us they have a problem in order to get a claim they have to be in striking distance.

Most of these people IMO who play for money have lots of experience keep in mind they camp this 24/7 they can calculate the spawn points and give an educated guess of where it will spawn next (the programs they use is just to make things easier for a claim). Regular players IMO who camp NMs as well must re familiarize themselves of spawn points locations and patterns of spawns. While the people who play for money have more educated idea of spawn point locations and patterns of spawns since they camp it 24/7 they can build a good hypothesis of where the NM will spawn next. Another factor I believe IMO would be that players who play for real money are pretty much doing this to survive, its what they probably need to live in the real world they need the money bad so the next time you claim a NM before a RMT does remember you probably stole his next meal (if what you are camping drops the item).
Now keep what I said in mind so I can tell you my personal experience camping stroper chyme and going against the CNs.

A LS mate and I decided one day to give stroper chyme a shot. So we head down there to la thiene plateau and do a /sea all in ordelles cave. As luck would have it there were 5 people there all CN players. We get kind of nervous as we heard from numerous players how these people could CLAIM stroper chyme really quickly because they cheat and use voke programs of sorts. We shook our fears off and head off to the spawn points. For the first 2 hrs we got beaten time and time again. Then we got an idea we decided to follow them around sure enough where all of them stood the next spawn would pop up. So at that point we had surveyed them enough and decided to unleash our greatest tactic. Follow the CN's around and voke as fast as we could, but there was another secret involved a macro line that could hit the target with the least amount of time (just one push of a button, and most of the people who camp NM's know this macro).

So for the next 3 hrs my ls mate and I beat them over and over to each claim from the 9 times that stroper chyme popped in that time period we claimed him each and every time beating them to the pull. By then the Cns realized what we where doing and got very upset, they started spamming our screens with /tells ( and they do speak English) telling my ls mate and I to get out, leave and some foreign language was involved as well didn’t care what it meant, but I'm pretty sure they where pretty ticked off. To tick them off even more we put our archer rings in our bazaars and set the prices @ 1mil Gil just incase they actually bought it lol. From the 9 we claimed 2 archer rings dropped. The funny thing is every time we claimed stroper chyme they stood around and watched, while they watched we put in /say {I'm sorry} "I stole your rent for next month" or {I'm sorry} "I stole your shoes that you wanted to buy" granted those where mean things to say, but at the time my ls mate and I found it humorous.

The moral of this story, it don’t matter if its a bot program or not, Know your enemy study there patterns, Use that special macro line(if you know it), and try to study spawn point times locations, and pop patterns. I'm not saying my ls mate and I are godly nor am I saying my way is the best, I'm just speaking from personal experience, and what we did to overcome a threat, and how to become a threat to 24/7 campers.

#20 Mar 23 2005 at 12:34 AM Rating: Decent
Rate up on that.

Props for not comming here complaining after losing a few claims. I'm not surprised I got rated down for saying this exact thing as it's easier to complain then to actually use your head and think.

I dont think you dudes are listening very well. the point off this topic is to get rid of bots in overall. they destroy the fun of camping, all you high level players have certainley discovered several ways of making fast gil, but stupid people like me who aint very sharp at mind have few other means to make gil to buy new stuff to keep leveling have A VERY HUGE PROBLEM WITH IT!!

Im sorry for ranting on your previous posts im just so easy irritated, and the fact that you claimed that i should get a life kind off annoyed me, that is why i got so angry. you dont know me, you dont know me in-game. and dont think you know me either im just telling you my opinions of these incidents. call me immature if you want but thats what i am. and yes i dont have a life, my life is in front of my computer,

call me miserable if you want, pity me, feel sorry for me. I DONT GIVE A ****!!. If by some means i steal someones next meal or be gulity for not enabling them to but new clothes.... I DONT GIVE A DAMN!!! I pay money to play this game and i will exploit every means neccesery to do what i find comfortable to do. And these ******** who camps for IRL money contains a major problems for me, to continue this game.

To make this post understandable i dont give a **** what y´all think about me, i just wanted to let people know about this subject. If you see me as heartless or a whining ******** i dont care! this topic is made for people who makes theyre FF11 living from camping. All you people who gets tons off gil from Crafting and other means should just keep theyre mouths shut!

And as ive said before if youre that sure of yourself go camp Leaping Lizzy yourselves and see how irritated you get! then you will understand what i mean.

So whats really stopping you from getting a claim? If you are so serious about what you said "actions speak louder then words"
I dont mind you venting and all, but you could channel all that anger all that hatred toward bot users, Nm campers who play fore money and actually do something productive who knows maybe get that NM claim and drop ^_^.

Well ill have to agree on you there, but then again i have claimed lizzy 4 times last night unfortunately no drop.... So i went to hunt another NM instead ^_^. My advice for you is if you cant get a claim on that certain NM go find another that is less camped...

Wow... I can only say chill geez, it's just a game...
and for inflation all you really need to do is sell items at a decent price.. this will help with 2 things
1 sell faster
2 and hopefull someone will pay less and things will go back to normal
and for drop/claims/spawn points heres an expression
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"
just study and observe then when window pops and your in a sespected area of spawn spam voke...
all the ppl/bots/wierd things are doing is guessing thats all
Don't be discuraged if you fail, keep trying you'll get it eventually and hopefully we can all get things back to normal ^^

About the infamous CNs; I managed to trick them into helping me with a call for help Slime, could have easily handled it. While they fighted it stroper popped. I claimed and obtained a Archers ring. After that they sent tells saying they were going to GM. Story end; I out smarted a ****** gil seller; GO ME!

I used to log a lot(haven't done it in a while, been busy with other stuff) in Ghelsba. Dsw goes there a lot and can be a pain at times, but I'm not entirely sure she's a gilseller and I'm pretty sure I've seen her speak english not-caps.

As far as "zooms in on what looked like hyper-flee," I've never noticed her do this except a few times when I lagged and the "zoom in" was just my screen catching things up to what was actually happening.

I think the real case was that you were new to logging. When I first started, getting to logging points first was difficult. After spending several hours a day for a few days logging, I got a better sense of where to look and when. Back then, there was almost always a Hero in there logging and Cnliu and occasionally Dsw. The Heros and Cnliu were far worse than Dsw ever was, but I got pretty good at beating them to logging points.

As for the profit in logging, the only logs in Ghelsba worth keeping for selling are Elm Logs. They're semi-rare and sell for 7-11k in San d'Oria. I could usually bring in about 8-10 elm logs in 2-3 hours. Took about a week to make enough gil to buy Erase for 500k. The other logs can be used in leveling woodworking.

BlueGate...

Proving their a bot isn't that easy as it seems, the only type of bot you can sorta prove now is a fishing bot since you'll always get that "Bot caught a w/e, but Bot can't hold anymore"

And no, these bots don't know when mobs will spawn since there isn't an "exact" time they pop, they're either lottery or 21+ hours, so it's completly random.

But anyway, yeah it takes some time to beat these guys, but when you can, you can easily do it with a few fails, but not everyone can win all battles.
