People of Cerberus, watch out for this guy.....Follow

#1 Mar 18 2005 at 2:26 PM Rating: Default
For the record:

I have never made a negative post about 1 single invidual before, but this one takes the cake.

All I'm going to say is, if you party with "Mobsta" you'll know what i'm talking about. He's a lvl 56drk/war and he knows nothing about the dynamics of a party or the game and will give you serious mouth about it.

Oh yeah, and did I mention he's only been playing a month? Yep, he power leveled in my party with my friend 60 whm doing it. Once he gets up in lvl, he ditches the static, asks for help, gets it and tells everyone to go F*** themselves.

LOL...to say the least he's an interesting character. Party with him, don't take my word for it LMAO!

Although, it's got to peeve you just a little bit to know he got to 56 as a NOOB in 1 month with nothing else done in the game. Big time mooch let me tell you. If you can help him, he's your bestfriend. If not...

Watch out....

might also be the real player instead of his wife just playing around (or vice versa, or even some other random person foreign to the game who shouldn't be using said account just to avoid such slander as this).

Effect... You yourself admitted to receiving powerleveling.... So what right do you have to criticize anyone else for the way they play. Being PL'ed receives an automatic /blist from a lot of players.

I definitely agree he can be a bit eccentric but that does not a bad person make.

this is kinda funny... this guy was just given a pearl to my LS by a RL friend of yours... the same guy that prefers a PLD over a NIN and plays the game with his wife(i'm sure you know who i'm talking about)

mobsta does seem like a loudmouth though. he hasnt been insulting or anything. he hasnt asked for any help yet... but hasnt offered either. to be honest, he's just not the type of person i like to associate with. i'z jus not crazy with da niggas who need to talk like dis in a game, nah mean? it just gets annoying.

i mean... i can be wrong about him... i havent known him long enough to form an opinion. your friend kinda put in a good word for him... and i highly respect his opinion

If his slang bothers you then yeah, he's definitely not your type of guy to hang out with. I guess since I have friends of all types IRL that I tend to just ignore that. Not everyone can though and I can understand that. I don't think that makes him a bad person, he just most likely comes from a different walk of life. I welcome that.

maybe i wasnt clear

i never said he's a bad guy... i said i dont know him well enough yet...

and i have friends of all types too. i'm just not crazy about wannabees... you know... the type that purposely speak so that they sound uneducated and/or ignorant because the think it's cool.

if by "different walk of life" you mean a minority, that is an awful comment to make. being a minority does not mean they are retarded and should act as such... do you have higher expectations of people "like you" than you have of people who are "different"?

I hate trying to read the 1337-speak much more than any slang. That being said, sometimes peoples attitudes just clash and they do not work well together. It happens in RL all the time. I am pretty laid-back, so it takes a lot to upset me, especially in-game. I have xp with Mobsta before and he was fine. In fact, I thought he was pretty funny. We all have our bad days, next time make a constructive post or just dont post.

woohoo now the thread has turned into one full of misinterpretations and racism >_> oh the joys of alla.... why dont we talk about like waffles or somin.... we dont need this type stuff.... we dont need threads telling people to stay away from others, its all bs, just play the game and have fun, if you dont like someone, keep it to yourself....

maybe the person that owns the account isnt the person playing it at the time, people dont seem to think about that, or that maybe the person is just having a bad day. everyone has their bad days and gets pissed sometimes, everyone overreacts sometimes, just get over it. we dont need hatred spread over the game and over alla. its retarded, FF is a game, and should be thought of as such, why make it hell for others, by doing crap like this? it just ruins the fun for everyone because then you have a big dispute on the forum, people rooting for the poster, and people defending the accused.

if you are mad at someone, or offended at what they have done/said then send them a tell and maybe let them in on what you think, tell them that you were offended. for all you know, they might apologize.

effect i know your better then this, i have done stuff with you before in the game, i know that you wouldnt do this for any random reason, but did you try other options besides just posting something like this on alla?

i guess as long as there is an MMORPG there is going to be flaming because there is not one person that can get along with everyone even though they try, but what causes crap like this, is people that just dont care about trying to resolve things, they just want to make trouble for others.

Mostly they say that its because they want to warn others, but i think that often, thats not the case. i have noticed that a lot of people just want attention. its really sad.

i probably came across as an *** to some people in this post, i apologize if i have, but i needed to get this out of my system, ive been seeing these posts quite often, and we dont need them. rate me down, rate me up, i dont care :P.

I'll let that go since you don't know anything about me. My definition of "walk of life" has nothing to do with race/sex/religion etc in a stereotypical format. It means they've experienced different things than I. This does not make said person better or worse than me in any way shape or form.

It could include a different culture, different anything. Not everything is said to be negative. You should really be careful about trying to slam someone before you know what they are referring to. One of my better friends on this game is Singaporean. To me, he is another person. He's not a minority, he's not anything but a person that I enjoy conversation with. He's someone with a rather high intellect that mirrors closely with my concept of humanity.

He, however, did come from a different walk of life. Yes this does refer to his culture but in no way did this make me think any less of him. More than anything it intrigued me. That is a big reason I play this game, to meet people from different walks of life and learn from them.

Society as a whole gets very caught up in sterotypes and cliques so that they close their eyes and minds to what another culture has to offer. I, however, thoroughly enjoy seeing how much more is out there, how similar we really all are, and learning as much as I can from another that I often will not have the priveledge of conversing with. I think FFXI offers this on a grand scale and I commend SE for that.

In the case of Mobsta, he speaks in slang. So what. He struck me as a humorous, enthusiastic guy and willing to learn. He can be a bit hyper but so can many on this game. Does someone have to talk like they graduated from Harvard to hit my friend's list? No. Do they have to be American and speak perfect english? Of course not. All they have to do is be respectful. Anyone that knows me on this game knows that about me. I received no disrespect from Mobsta so he will receive none from me.
