yup im gettin one tomorrow. i alreayd know whats coming with it too. you get the system, a case for it, a battery, charger, spiderman 2 (full movie), non-interactive cd with movies/games (maybe music too, im not so sure on that), and also comes with a 32 mb memory stick. might be some other stuff i left out but thats pretty damn good for $250. only problem, is the games cost $50 before tax.... so basically your buying a PS2 game >_> oh well... ill get it anyways :D

I'm holding off. After all since I started playing FFXI, my PS2 and GameCube have been very under utilized. Where would I possible find time for another system, even a handheld, right now?

I *never* grab a system fresh off the release date. I much rather prefer for a new system to cool down, shake off the hype, reveal itself in full to the public, and settle into a sizeable library (and cheaper price) before I consider buying it.

However, I have heard rumors that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be released on one of the PSP's UMD disks. Why I would wish to watch said movie on a handheld device, I will never know, (I don't go traveling enough to warrant a handheld movie screen).

I'll probably look into buying a PSP a year from now. I'm hoping someday the price will drop below $100, and the game titles will lower in price as well. (Plus, I need at least five *must have* titles for a system before I really want to buy it)

LOL I pity the fools who jumped on those NGages as soon as they hit the market, and discovered the poor ugly and retarded things were a WASTE of $300 and a cell phone contract XD

I find it highly unlikley that Advent Children will be exclusive to the PSP. SE's own Japanese website makes mention of Advent Children in DVD format as of this morning and all of the major game publications consistently mention it as UMD and DVD format. Now could Sony have paid for a "window of exclusivity?" That's certainly possible and based on Hashimoto's comments to gameindustry.biz, we'll know very shortly all the details.

sounds good to me, if thats the case, then most likely the UMD version comes out first, and DVD afterwards O_o

Supposedly they have fixed that problem, as none of the American released ones (that I've heard) have this problem.

I'll be getting one as soon as my wife decides to let me =)

well my square button doesnt stick, and they fixed the thing if you twist the unit slighty the UMD would pop out. its a pretty solid system IMO i was very impressed of quality especially when watching spiderman 2, not bad at all! Then when i popped in metal gear acid to see the graphic capability i thought i was staring at my ps2 but mini version, although there was differences that where clearly visible when playing video games, it didnt bother me much. Right now im testing the wireless WLAN connection ^_^ seeing how it works here at work, and playing a co-worker of mine who brought his in too.. Not bad for sony on thier first dip into the handheld videogame market...

One of the guys here at work brought it just after buying it yesterday.

I can say that the graphics are just awesome. Big screen for a portable and the feel of the controls is just like having a controller from the PS2. I love the analog stick, very clever indeed.

I am still debating on getting one, since I haven't use my Fry's $250 GC i got for christmas :) .

The spiderman movie look just too good. Too bad the sound kinda sucks (earphones are a must).

Overall I think Sony has a product that can rival those of Nintendo.
