=============PT now full=================================
OK, I am building a group for Riverne- Site #A01, and still need a few people to fill up the group. We will be departing friday evening to do the Riverne run.

Currently, the PT setup is...

BLM: Munkeegutz
BST: Munchkin
PLD: Neotears
RNG: Greysmoke

As of now, we need a WHM and a kiter.

It is a level 40 cap, but I expect everyone who comes to be level 41+ in their chosen job, because we could die a few times doing this.

If you want to come, you need to have adequate equipment for level 40, good food for your job, both a reraiser and a scroll of instant reraise, four hi-potions (preferablly more if you are a tanking/kiting job...perhaps only 1-2 if you are a mage), at least four hi-ethers if you are a mage, and yagudo drinks if you are a mage.

as noted by my item requirements, this is not a pushover, but if we come prepared we can win it. hopefully, we wont be forced to use all those items...especially the reraiser... and they can (of course) be sold back.

hehe good luck on that ^^
did it about 3 weeks ago, we went on a sunday, an alliance of 12, so 2 pts, both tried 3 times, died...

tried it again on the wednesday after, tried it another 3 times, we finally won on last! woot! ^^

tho we failed 5 times i enjoyed it alot, coz it was all about team work, thinking the reason why we went wrong, changing the possible kiters improving our strategy and load and loadza team work and we finally won ^^ it was such a triumph ^^

anyways, yea, its good to bring medicines and stuff with you, says allakhazam's guide, however, when we beat it, we all used up all our meds from previous trys (apart from me i still had one yag drink left), used up all 2hrs, so its not exactly compulsary. yes the battle is tough but it is doable ^^

below was our strategy and things we found out, hope it ease it a little ^^;

our set up was rng thf pld rdm whm drk. on the wednesday run

rdm and thf were kiters. rdm gravity it and bind it and stuff whilst kiting it, thf just.. you know, run around, utsesemi, flee

so rng pulled the un-kited mob to the tunnel, me(whm) pld drk and rng killed off the first mob with ease. The runs we lost was because at this point, pullers start to get into trouble, and which ever one we pull off first (tried thf first, then 2nd time we tried rdm's first) either of them struggle to pull further and die.. also after first mob my mp was very low, so healing was a problem.

so, what we did different on our winning round was:
thf immediately used a yellow liquid at the start of kiting, to keep it in a melee form so that the mob doesn't change into a mage type and start casting magic, because that was when he start to die.

and after the first mob died, we pulled off rdm's mob so that i can a chance to rest, rdm convert and stuff to take over the healing, also, rng changes his position so that he was close to thf, who was still kiting. rdm also stand near the ranger incase if thf gets into trouble she throws a cure or a regen on him (note: do not heal healers because first mob is dead.. whm getting the hate of the kiting mob is not a good thing.. lol)

and when the thf struggles, rng turns around and take the kite mob, thf recast utsesemi and off he goes kiting again. this made it much more manageable, and we won with ease ^^

and... as a whm my enfeeb sucks and i thought it'll never stick(then again my enfeeb is capped for a lvl 40 capped area ^^;), but i tried it anyways, and turned out.. silence and paralyze do stuck on those evil things... ^^ so whenever it changed jobs and casts spells, throw a silence.. makes the battle runs smoother

also, paladin always shouts stop when that transmog... whatever happens

you might want to try smn kiting, i think it'd really work ^^ and much easier. just like pet kiting with bst perhaps...

hope this helps ^^, best of luck and enjoy it ^^

I'd be glad to fill the kiter role, I need to get this mission done too. From what I know, I should do OK as Thf if I load up on +evasion and ranged accuracy equips. I'm fine with whatever item expenses there are too. ^^;

OK Valacirca you are in. Ill send you a friend request so we can stay in touch the second this stinking update finishes ^^

Anyways...my plan (so far) is as follows...

Everyone puts scroll of reraise on.
Valacirca kites one, Munchkin kites the other. The rest of us go in and totally destroy the third. Neotears might just have to two hour here to hold hate. Either way, it is vital that we kill that first one really quickly...so we will.

Then we take Valacirca's mob off his back. Fight procedes as normal, though I doubt we will be able to have Valacirca SATA.

Then, the fight procedes as normal, we kill off the last one

Everyone will have macros, so that if the straight-tanked mob uses the meleee dammage absorbtion, or mind wall, we will know. Everyone DDing or tanking will hit this macro, in case someone dosent notice.

The first time we go in will be a dry run, so everyone gets a feel for how hard it is. noone will use food or 2-hr moves.

On the actual run, if someone is about to bite the dust, they bolt back twoards the enterance, so if they die, they can reraise, and hopefully we will already be down one mob. When we reraise, everyone uses their reraisers, so they can reraise AGAIN if we die when there is only one mob left.

Happily, you will only loose as much exp as a level 40. Yay....

Any suggestions?

PS. I am going to open this to the KI forums this afternoon
