For the NM, yes, untill then I suggest getting a friend you can SC with so you end Light or Darkness, and go fight easy prey.
Just remember to check our equipment with the Bow of Trials equiped every now and then, to see if your latinet affect is gone (Elemental resistance is usually the best way to check)
