Cross-counters Can I have themFollow

#1 May 18 2005 at 6:34 AM Rating: Decent
I have finally farmed/bcnmed/crafted enough money to buy a pair of Cross-counters but only one pair have been up whithin the last 2 weeks and they were bought while I was asleep.

So if anyone wants to sell a pair of cross-counters on Cerberus server send a /tell to Jetta, I will buy them in an instant.

May be the NM has not be camped a lot recently. Or it is being sold via Bazaar or Jeuno shouts -- tax for such item is painful.

If in fact not being sold for a while, there is likely price hike on the item.

I have seen a few pairs in bazaar in lower jeuno. It's been a week or so but there were 2 people with them in bazaar recently.
Congratulations btw. I've wanted those for a while. LoL

As a future weapon and for an up and coming mnk, I'm just curious to what the approximate going price of cross-counters on our server is? Am I going to have to dip into my moogle's college fund or get a 2nd and possibly a 3rd mortage on my moghouse?

they have raised from 5 million to 6.8 million in the last few weeks

Cross Counters is a primier item, and is not really needed to be a good monk. For 6.8 million gil, I would rather save up for a Scropian Harness. A Scropian Harness can also help your other jobs if you plan to level other jobs too... Also a Bard can wear a Scropian Harness o.O;

Anyway Scorpian Harness, Cross Counters, Noble Tunic~~ Whatever in my dreams, I am too poor for that ._.;

Here's my 2 cents Jetta.

Yes CCs are very nice, and end game. Definitely not needed.

I have tried a scorp harness, and I have even tried Spartan Cesti, I did more damage with my AF and Bone Patas +1 lol. Sad but true. I'm really starting to think there are hidden effects in AF.

I still think Scorp. Harness will do better in the long run, and the Harness does offer flexibility.

A lot of primier items are obtained more for as a show-off thing. "Oooooo, look at that pretty Dhlameica~"
"Oooooo, look at that pretty Noble Tunic~"

Lately, i've been rather tempted to sell my CC's, especially seeing as how I'd make like a 5M profit >.>

but let me say this, i really believe my +counter gear has paid for itself many times over:

-my maat fight ended with me countering him, with me only having 29ish hitpoints left... priceless

-farming... countering 25-50% of the time against TW's and EP's means less downtime and faster fights (took me 6months to go from 50 to 60, so i had a lot of time to farm while lfg)

Luxury item... yes, especially for someone buying it these days

Merely a showoff item... Not remotely
1) only monks look at other monks weapons, while everyone knows what a scorp harness or nobles tunic looks like
2) i believe it's the highest damage h2h weapon that can be bought (destroyers, relic, avengers, and katars are R/E and sparatans are another debate thread)

anyway, i might be persuaded to sell, because my career as monk is being pushed to the side these days

added: oh, sschan/amanada is from DC too? cool

Well that's because you hit 75 Meign. :-b

Ok Jetta. I'm borrowing an LS mates CCs atm and so far I'm not that impressed. I can definitely see some practical applications (can't wait to try the ENM with them LoL) but all in all I can't justify 5mil for them.

Yeah I bet they would be nice for the Maat fight though. I went into EN to try to solo 1.1k exp so I could level and they just weren't doing it for me. LoL. I think I'd rather evade attacks to take less damage.

I was wearing the CCs and Aikido ******* so I had +7 counter and it just wasn't going off that often. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something. LoL

Yeah well at 5 million I would have gone for them but last sale someone hiked it up from 6.8 million to 8 million, there is absolutely no way i'm paying that (I don't even have that much) so i'm going to shift my interest elsewhere I think and spend my money on something or a few somethings else.

So unless someone is bored of their CCs and fancies selling them to me for 5-6 million cross-counters are out for me until i'm strong enough to camp the NM.
