Kraken Club StolenFollow

#1 May 18 2005 at 8:14 AM Rating: Decent
Hello Cerberus,
I feel it is my sad duty to inform you of the events that took place on Monday the 23rd.

My linkshell, MysticKnights, was farming pop items in sky, and had been farming for several hours when our leader, Sairyu, decided to lend out his kraken club to any mage that wanted to use it for fun. At the time I didn’t think anything of it, and thought it would make things more fun to break the monotony of farming. First person to receive the club was one of our whms, who used the club for a short while and then gave it back with no problem. Next to receive it was SMITZ, and that’s whom this post is all about. Upon receiving the club SMITZ logged out and didn’t return for the remainder of the evening.

My first thought was maybe his Internet messed up, maybe he forgot, and a bunch of other maybes. Well yesterday it became clear that this was no accident. SMITZ intends to keep the kraken club. It really upsets me that someone would do such a horrific act to someone who has been nothing but helpful and trusting to our linkshell.

I know most of you will say he shouldn’t of lent out the club, and I will agree he shouldn’t have, but he lent it to a linkshell member who we’ve been talking to and playing beside for quite some time. It bothers me that someone can be this shallow. I pray that I never meet someone like this, someone who cares so little about anyone but himself, I feel he is the scum of this Earth and where it may be just a game, it reflects on how poor of an individual he really is. He absolutely disgusts me.

So, my fellow Cerberus players, I have a favor to ask. That favor is to leave SMITZ alone. That’s right, I don’t want anything done to him, but at the same time I don’t want anything done for him. Just let him disappear into the black hole he calls his life, never to come out. Don’t invite him to party, don’t invite him to your linkshell; don’t invite him for any quests or missions or anything of any kind. Let him fade into a memory.

Waffle time...

I really hate people are so greedy and yet short sighted in the game. The thief may think he can keep the item, yet he basically ruins his reputation in the game, and may be forced to return the item and then quit the game.

It does not worth to cheat (bot, MPK) or ***** people in this game as in the long term, you just earn a bad reputation that is not fixable.

Reputation is probably the most important thing in this game...
/sigh

It saddens me to see good players being taken advantage of.

Sai is the type of person who is willing to help... if you made a mistake on AH, he wouldn't keep the gil like some people... yet this is his penance in return. ; ;.

I've already had people ask me if they can wear my Vermillion's Cloak when I make it... I lol and tell them: "Sorry, I won't lend that thing to my grandmother, let alone anyone else." I'd rather not trust those that are my friends than be disappointed when one of them breeches our friendship by not returning said item. ; ;

Sorry to hear about that Tat, if it's any consolation my linkshell will never welcome the likes of him, if indeed he did so, neither will get help from any of our members.

now i might be wrong about this I'm not COMPLETELY sure, but i was under the impression that the Kraken in question actually belongs to my boy Raviont and that Sairyu was in fact borrowing it, they r tight so that type of **** is NP, unless Sairyu obtained his own Kraken or bought that one from Raviont, then it must be Rav's and I'm sure hes PISSSSSED about it

It's quite possible the club is not Sairyu's, but since I don't know for sure about that, I didn't post it.

I do know for sure, since I was there, that Sairyu told SMITZ he was loaning it to him. So regardless, its not SMITZ's.

I can assure you, this person will find no quarter under the Praetorians Shell. In addition he will be added to the LS Black List.

I'm very, very sorry about your kindness being taken advantage of like that...makes you wonder about people in this game sometimes. To some it's just that, a game, be rude, do acts you would never do in real life, talk crap, MPK, steal goods, take advantage of kind people, etc with absolutely no remorse. But to others that are more genuine, it's a community where you can put the goodness into your acts and make it a great community to be a part of and help others making it fun for you and those around you.

But what he did just about sounds like the typical character I once knew of. Long ago we were once friends (over a year ago). He quit for a few months, came back and I welcomed him only to be sh*t on as well by his immaturities and selfish acts.

I recall one incident, although nothing quite like what you experienced, it bothered me to the point that he's 1 of 12 people on my BList. I invited him down to party in Cape Terrigan in which he glady accepted as a 58 BLM. He arrived, was happy to see me, /wave /smile the whole it's really good to see you again thing. Well we managed to fight a few mobs until a arguement insued between other party members. Needless to say the party ended very shortly after (20 mins after he arrived, the arguement was unrelated to him ^.^). Instead of me trying to rebuild the party, I passed lead to the WHM who was going to stay since I was asked by friends to help them with some items they needed. Which I happly said yes to.

So.... I kindly ask him for a D2...he's reply, and I quote, "***** you all.. I didn't come down here to D2 people" -> Disbanded then warped. We'll I sent him a /tell asking "man, that was really screwed up dude, wth?". He replied, ***** you... you're a {Too weak} ninja anyway. This is from a quote-unquote "Friend" that no more then 20 mins ago was glad to see again. There were several selfish incidents prior to this event that really made me question him as being a good person, but this was the icing on the cake. I can honestly say, I really feel for the LS'es he's part of, and for those that have had the displeasure of dealing with him. Best bet is to avoid him and save yourself the trouble....

Again Sairyu & Tatrock, {I'm sorry.} It's an absolute shame that this stuff happens to all the good people in the game. Seems like there's alot of this going around lately, reference the recent Haubie thread and that ordeal for example. Yet, this was another acquaintance of mine that I helped with AF on their old character that now I rather choose not to associate with... No names mentioned.

This shows the importance of backgroud check before inviting someone to your LS. Although you try not to be too formal like a job interview, but take people into your LS too easily is bad.

Anyway, I think now Smitz will have a hard time to find a new LS. And pressure from bulletin boards may force him to return the club.

I was on last night about midnight AST where Smitz was trying to sell a Kraken club for 50 mil. the whole story came out during his shouts and then he went to tahrongi canyon ... couldnt handle pressure i guess:(
All i have to say is that this person is a horrible human being, I mean come on I know its a game but that was a complete lack anything nice and honorable. He will never get any help from me or any in my LS. When I see stuff like that it makes me ashamed to be playing this game where people like him/her can do such awfull things with no concern because of their anonominity. Well we might not know his/her real name but "Smitz" is all we need and hope his character rots in hell like the player should.

Let's SHUN the Lil' **** So He Had To Quit The Game And Make Everyone Aware Of How He Came In Posession Of Such An Item, So He Will Not Be Able To Profit Of It And If Some1 Is Stupid Enough To Buy It From Him For Whatever Reasons, Be Aware That You're Next On The Hate List

Someone should make this person aware of this thread so they can understand the kind of heat they are bringing upon themselves by playing this "game" out. Truely a disgusting thought that friendship to this person wasn't as important then 50 million gil. They need to have another server migration so we can weed more people like this one out.

Just wanted to say thank you to all who have responded, and to respond to Darkvlade's post.

Where I wouldn't mind seeing him die a few times, I would hate to see any good and decent person stoop to his level and possibly suffer consequences by doing so. I know GMs rarely do anything about MPK, but please don't take a risk, this low life is really not worth it.

Hey Sai and tat sorry to hear about that. Smitz used to be in 2 of my lses, both in which he was kicked out of. He is like 14 or 15 i think and obviously is an idiot who cannot feel guilt or remorse... He most not have morals at all or atleast not good morals ; ;. I was a mystic knight for a shortwhile and when i was Sairyu did nothing but help so I know he is a helpful and great human being. The fact ANYONE would do this to someone is absolutely absurd and especially him being in his ls.... Hopefully this kid comes to his senses which I am pretty sure he won't, I sure as hell know he won't have any invites from me or any ls invites for that matter from any of my lses. I hope that justice will get a hold of him and that the lil schmuck will get what he is asking for. Sorry to hear about the incident Sai and Tat, and may you guys stay well.

Ama can i have a waffle ; ; i'm hungry ; ;.

I too am in MysticKnights (hey Tat), and I assure you this theft is very real.

I politely sent Smitz a tell yesterday, asking why he was taking the kclub. I didn't call him names, I didn't use all caps, I was as nice as I could be.

He only responded with a /tell saying "{Black List}", after which he /blist'ed me. Apparently he'd been /blist'ing anyone from MK that /tell'ed him about the kclub the entire day and laughing his *** off about it to a friend of his.

Smitz and Sairyu were longtime friends, so if he would steal from Sairyu, he'll steal from anyone. Please, do not invite this person into your Linkshell, or invite them to party. Treat him as the infectious waste that he is.

Do not MPK him, as it will only get YOU into trouble...and no one wants that. If you are fortunate enough to have the money and want to purchase a Kraken Club, do not buy from Smitz as it is a tainted item. Do not support this person in any way.

Thanks for your time Smiley: grin

I knew about this yesterday. Our ls leader was talking with this Smitz guy, and he told us about it. I think that's pathetic, to steal an item just like that. And the worst thing is that Smitz was laughin and making a joke about it and about Sairyu.

I didn't talk to smitz or read what he said, it was only what Orochimaru told us in the /l chat.

This is Orochimaru.

I was leveling Monk in Windurst, minding my own business and Smitz was in town so he came to show me the club. That's it.

For those of you in MysticKnights trying to "associate" me with him and threatening to MPK me is bullsh!t so back off.

I AM NOT INVOLVED.

i just find it very very very depressing how sai trusted him with a 50mill+ item and he goes off taking advantage of this trust.

saddens me how people do things like this. althought this is only a game, but i feel a lotta stuff in FF builds on trust. such action is just, stupid. ~><~

unfortunately, smitz got a search comment up saying k club has been sold, leave me alone.

so... /sigh

he is still active on smitz, so, please, do as he wish "leave him alone"

he can solo this game.
