I am currently interested in forming a new static party at level 50 (with me being Summoner) with players of good standing. I leveled fairly slowly (at most party twice a week), so it is not for fast leveler. It is all for fun.

Please reply to this thread or find me in the game. I am fairly easy to find usually. The biggest barrier from 50-60 is AF quests and Genkai II. And I will do my best to help people get through them.

I wish I could join you, Ama. >.> But seeing as I already have 3 static parties (LoL) I don't have any time as it is. >< My THF and DRK are both right around that level too. *sigh*

Good luck with it!

Actually I am debating if I should dropped that idea, and go after black mage only -- black mage is not going to be cheap. Leveling too many jobs is one of the reasons for me being poor. I only got my Austere Hat so far (I have the money to pay for the body too), but buying such set will cost me huge sums of money. ; ; May be I should just sell all my SMN stuff -- but it only worth like 150k haha.

Nowadays, I believe it is so hard to level with fun unless you got friends to level with. Both pick up lower level and higher level parties have a lot of stuff I do not like. Lower level pick ups have more questionable quality, while higher level picks up takes forever to form, and a lot of higher level pick ups like to talk about drama and fights instead of something of something relaxing and fun. I sometimes feel very left out as I rarely got to level with my friends. My black mage do got some sort of static, so it is not too much of an issue.

If I didnt have problems with money as it takes me so long to make even 100k(months at a time), I'd be glad to.

Money making in Vana'Diel is like in RL -- not that easy. I personally think economic disparity -- gap between the rich and poor -- is quite large in FFXI. Gil buying does fuel the problem in certain extend, but I think most inflation is driven by the really rich players, former fish botters, and decrease of farmers of basic synthesis materials (like Beehive Chips). FYI, I believe selling to vendor (mostly from fish botters) are the biggest source of new money in the game, and introduction of new money in the game drives inflation.

Most of the richest players (cough Ete, Flutist etc cough) in the game tends to have one of big crafts leveled (Clothcrafting, Goldsmithing, Smithing, Woodworking). I was surprised recently how much money chocobo digging can make (learned from a long time digger). Cooking and Alchemy are the bottom feeders, but tends to make your life very inexpensive and efficient.

Selling fish to vendors was downgraded by SE. People no longer rely on that. All fish sold to vendor cost like 8-10g per fish.

I would love to be considered on joing an SP with you Amanda, but alas I do not have a job near 50. I am currently in the stages of unlocking the advanced jobs, doing Windurst quests, and thinking about finding people to do the crag Promy's with my WHM. Although, I will need to get my WHM more xp because at this point if I die, I delevel to 29 ><.

Amanada, my WHM is at 51. I would love to have an SP if you would give me an idea what times? I am EST and usually play in the evenings, but during the summer, I can be more flexible. I am still leveling my RDM, but I have plenty of time to do that in between SPs.

=)

All who read this, know that this player is really stupid. :)
See this what happens when you fish up the same fish for several months.
