Obnoxious behaviorFollow

I had the unpleasant experience of running into a very unsavory character this weekend that warranted a post.

I was helping a couple LS mates in the dunes as their PT was having some troubles. They are relatively new to the game with limited experience so some link control was helpful.

At any rate, after awhile a character named BigScottam parks himself in the middle of the PT and begins offering gil for someone to leave the PT. The PT members refuse, but he continues to ask... The /s progressively get more beligerent (to be fair... On both sides)..

At this point, I figured I needed to step in... I told him that the PT was obviously staying together and that he should go find another one... Etc. He says that there are none and that he's bored. Well, he wasn't going to get into this PT as he already pissed them off.

So as he can't get into the PT, he says that he's going to go change to his main and farm lizard (prey for the PT at the time). I tell him that's his perogative. He logs out.

A few minute later SCOTTAM shows up. My best estimate is a lvl 40-50 BLM. He begins to farm lizards in the area. Obnoxious, but whatevers.

Then he brings over a bogy and fights next to the PT. I can only surmise to possibly hit them with an AoE or something....

I tell him that he's wasting his time and then I call a GM and him that a GM has been called.

He then brings over some gobs to the PT and warps out. Then proceeds to tell me: that wasn't an MPK, I just wanted to make the game interesting.

At any rate, he did very little to effect the PT as I was there, but can only imagine what he would have done had I not been there!!

This abusive behavior is despicable IMO! He thinks that his actions will not follow him. However, he is dead wrong.

At any rate, please simply keep this in mind. He does not belong in the higher lvls of play. He should remain a bottomfeeder.

Since we are discussing that Smiley: deadhorse JP player on the other thread -- this is one of the reasons to make foreign players to streotyping sometimes.

Such behavior is hated by everyone, and is extremly childish. You can ask if someone wants to invite you. But it is not their reposibility to say yes.

Yes GM should be called for the goblin and bogy part -- and if I am GM that person is going to jail as that is clear to me harrassement and mpk attempt.

Let's please not turn this into another huge flame war thread.

It seems as if it was handled properly, the person's actions were brought to everyone's attention, got it. LoL. Let's leave it at that.

Whoa.. Scottam is a JA player? He certainly did not appear to be on Saturday night as he spoke english just fine. Although very immature, his english was fine. Could you link me to the other thread. I'd be interested to read up.

Yes.. and I agree Leet.. no flame wars^^. Just a simple public service announcement!

But man.. what a terrible taste that left in the mouths of the PT I was helping. And seeing that they were mostly very new players, it's was just terrible to see that type of behavior. We dont want them "growing up" thinking that is the norm, because it certainly is not.

No No that is not what I meant... I mean if someone like him harrass a JP pt... what will be the reaction.

As far I know, people alway remember the really bad experience a lot more.

But anyway

Yum! Cookies!

I was in the dunes with a couple members in my LS, and we danced on BigScottam's party's corpses after they accidentally got about 5 gobs on them. (A little confusion there... I don't know if their PLer got the aggro, in which case their PLer MPKed them :D )

We had something against their PT because of two others (not Scottam) in there who'd left our PT (before I got there, actually) just because they didn't feel we were "good enough". (Well, close enough. Dead horse, meet hammer.)

I just thought it was funny to see several taru /panic'ing on corpses. I personally had nothing to do with Scottam's dumbass attack.

Heh, a few weeks ago in Valkurm when I was leveling RNG Scottam did the same thing. I was pulling, and saw our tank's hp dropping, so I ran back to see that he had binded a Sheep near our pt. It was quite aggravating, then someone from our pt gave him crystals or something and he stopped bothering us and started crafting. But he was doing the same thing with Bogies as described in the OP...

Sorry for continuing this, I just didn't think it had happened to anyone else.

To hell with that horse. Why not continue beating it? In fact, I think it's ludicrous to call SCOTTAM a horse. He's a ******. An in-game ******. And I for one revel in the opportunity to continue beating him. Especially if others have encountered his incompetence. Beat away. It amuses me so.

I got a serious guilt trip. Some people I went off on in the game, I went back to months later and apologized. People like Enthuz.
