Ive been thinking really hard what my second main should be. I was in a static party for what I was pretty sure would be my second main job in being a SAM. After getting 52 levels we broke up which gave me an opportunity to start leveling other jobs.
Now I find myself with three choices. Theif which I thoroughly enjoy. I really really like inflicting status down effects on the mobs and helping the pt in that regard. I also really like managing the hate control for the tank. And for some reason, I thoroughly enjoy pulling. I think its a rush....I cant really explain it. The downside to leveling Thief is that I would need to level NIN. Dont get me wrong, I think NIN is a very good job and a difficult one at that, but its just not me. Im a Paladin tank, not a NIN. Im one of those players that feels like Im not really helping the party Im in when I level a job I dont like. Its like Im not really trying or something. Kind of hard to explain.
The third job was always the White Mage class. Being an Elvaan makes this job feel right for some reason. Also, I like having others lives in my hands. Knowing that I need to make fast decisions to keep my pt members alive. Knowing that Im the lifeblood of the party. White Mage has always been a soft spot for me. I swear if I had the time I would level all of these jobs. Anyways, I just know Id enjoy being a WHM. ^^
I know what the hardcore gamers are thinking. Why not level all of them? Well, maybe your not thinking that. Afterall, you probably realize how much time it takes to level a job even when you really enjoy it. You also probably know how expensive it is to level a job to 75. Even though my first main was PLD and pretty cheap through 60 levels it became much more expensive when I started eating the expensive foods and of course 70+ in any job means spending gil (if you can do enough BCNM's and farm long enough) to get that uber armor non artifact armor. In PLD's case it was the adaman gear which I still covet to this day.
So yeah, I was just wondering what other people think about the matter. I think Im going to take Samurai to 60 (just to get a feel for it and see if I really want to continue) and then make a decision. @_@#
If you had a level 75 job, which other job would you take to 75 and why?
