Carbuncle Mitts - How it went.Follow

Hurrah - I got my Mitts last night (Friday). Thank you to everyone who helped. We had 5 ppl with offerings. Well done LS, Empire of Lucavi (EoL)^^

Parody and Armondo certainly did a great job helping our LS. It seems that Armondo’s Light Carol was a huge help. Lenwe who is an excellent PLD held hate well and Light Carol keep him extremely safe from the Astral Flow. Seems Deneb must have done a great job refreshing the main team, and Lav manage to pull hate a couple of times, unfortunately to the side of the room with the mages! lol

Rohan the BLM75 had varying success sleeping the Tonberrys avatars. We fought the TonberryNM five times in totall, included the last on Lights day. Rohan decided that if he could not sleep the Avatars first try each fight he would turn to nuking the Tonberry. It appeared to be the best strategy to Nuke the Tonberry. The most successful kill meant the Tonberry only got two Astral Flows in. Xaltion was refreshing Rohan, but at lvl 54 was a little to low, we worked a refresh and run technique. Sorry you got thumped again Xal.

How Hyne survived a couple of times I don’t know. It seemed that at some stage in each fight he was at 40hp!

Oh, a word about opening the door. It was hard work. We tried for 2 hours to get a key, but decided to aggro the door instead. We were at the wrong door for ages. There are two, one each side of the chamber, people were about to give up when I suggested we try the other side….like crazy fools everyone rushed for the other door….luckily Lenwe seemed to get there first. We did well to survive, only Armondo died. We must have linked every tonberry in the area and all the magic pot thingys. So be careful….the crazy thing was I checked my inventory at the end of the night and I had a key!!! WTF? Maybe I got it while killing the links at the door.

All in all a great experience… I will do it again happily….ohh the mitts will totally change my SMN experience.

It was odd, we started out with 3 WHMs, me and 2 others from that ls I'm guessing, than one went to sleep because they had a long day, and Tetra had to go do something IRL, leaving me as the only WHM :X The RDMs most certaitnly helped with the backup healing though.

Got my mitts, and I feel like I really earned them too, I'm so happy. :) I'll have to test them with SMN sometimes, hopefully in a promyvion or capped event.
