It is against the tos and if SE were to find out there is no telling what they would do.... but, that being said... there is no physical way to detect it... it doesn't even come up in your running processes... Most GMs could care less if you use it, but to be safe, I wouldn't make it common knowledge that you do... Like for one, asking questions like this in major forums of widely visited FFXI web pages...
