This is a follow up to my post about getting my drk test, I lost the first battle with Maat thinking of it as more of a test run anyway and now this is the follow up after getting another drk test and going for round 2.

A few nights ago I beat Maat and now that I have a chance to get on Alla I figured I would share the battle with you:

Gear: Full AF, Vit Rings, Life Belt, Amemet +1, Assault Earring, Coral Earring, 10 hi pots, Vile Elixir +1, vile elixir, Icarus wing, opo necklace, blink band, and a stack of sleep pots.

I have heard debates about how Maat copies your gear stats and deciding to take no risks I opted to go in with two scorp rings (acc -7, ranged acc +7 and only cost me 2k each) since Maat has no ranged attack it would help me. If you don't believe it: He used Maat Bash three times and all of them missed me somehow even though I didn't kite.

This was my main plan: Not die.

This is how the battle went: I slept for tp, used my band, and equipped my gear, ran towards him, used last resort, Bio II, Stun, hit him once, souleater Guillo for over 1k dmg, Vile +1, Icarus wing, another Guillo for 700 dmg. He did Blood Weapon then, however since I still had blink band up he only hit me with it once, we traded off then, swing, punch, etc. Me spamming hi pots in between, I nearly died when I suddenly remembered the other Vile Elixir and used it. When my hp got down I used Blood Weapon, I only hit him once for 89 dmg because he used Abs Str on me. Soon we were both down to our last bit of hp, one more hit would have killed me and he still had health left, I had a choice of either a hi pot or a Guillotine, I said (literally) "To hell with it! It's over!" and threw out my guillotine ending the battle.

So now I can begin my climb for the last six levels and hit 75 and I still refuse to level thf and I will still get to 75 without it.

But my question for all of you is this: After beating Maat isn't the victorious run to him to finish G5 so satisfying? And wasn't it great to finally wail on the stupid old man that made you do the hell that is G1 and G3?
