ok, I posted this on KI 2 weeks ago and didn't get any offers of help there so I thought I'd try over here. I'm on PM 8-3, I've done all of the prelim work up to the BCNM and then got left behind when the people I had been doing CoP with went on the one day in the last 2 weeks that I couldn't go. I need help. None of my close friends are anywhere near this mission and it's driving me nuts to be this close to the end and be completely stymied. I'm a lvl75 RDM and can sub BLM, WHM, or DRK for the BCNM's. If you can help, please reply here or /t me in game, Character name :Arakith.

Thank you.

Well, after 7 fruitless hours searching for help yesterday and no responses here, 4 months of growing apathy have led me to decide it's time to move on. Mainly just posting this for a few friends like Enthuz that I rarely see on anymore. Good bye and good luck. It's been fun.

You could have asked me in the game. I didn't get to check Alla over the weekend, and was busy most of the time. You should however try to solo to get your Brand of Dawn and Dusk. It is doable solo if you are careful. Skyangel has maps on KI in how to do that.

If you like to get angry about no one helping you, join the club. You are not the only one like that, and spending 7 hours to look for help is nothing. Took me 8 hours to get an Ancient Papyrus, and a lot of asking help and another crazy 8 hour farming to get my Beadeaux coffer key when I was noob white mage. Looking for help has never been easier, and you just need to know who to ask. This game takes patience and cannot be rushed. I was stuck on 8-3 for over a month before I make Dazed and Brisk to do it.

Now people get Sky like level 60 now. I did not get Sky until I was level 66 White Mage, and took me a lot of deaths to do so and attempt to team up with JP groups. Things are so much easier now than the old days. Getting easier is not neccessary a bad thing, but no matter how hard it was or it is now, people still will complain -- they just find new things to complain about. Just chill, slow down, and play the game and have fun.

Whoa, Ama, I realize tone is highly interpretive when all you have to go on is the written word and that you don't have access to my much more detailed reasons for leaving on Bladesingers or Your Fantasy web sites but failing to finish CoP is not the problem, rather just the symptom of a larger issue. I'm well aware that waiting is part of the game and I've never gone in a public forum before to complain about it.

I've never coasted along on anyone's coattails to achieve things in game before I was of a level to contribute to earning them. I got Sky like a week before I fought Maat at level 70 and I earned everyone of my Avatar's in Prime fights where there was actually a chance of us dying. I got Rank 10 Windurst, patiently organizing runs over a 13 month period, and went to Rank 8 Bastok cancelling numerous runs to accomodate friends schedules so we could do it together.

And I ALWAYS solo every part of a mission or quest that I can both for the challenge and so as not to hold anyone back if I happen into a group that's ready for a BCNM or NM fight. So, yes, I solo'd everything in 8-3 up to and was waiting at the BCNM entrance for my first non attempt at it when none of the people who were supposed to do it with me showed up.

I did consider contacting you in game and a number of other players I hold in high regard but am not particularly close with but when I did /sea's on your names, you were all involved in activites like Dynamis or Limbus and I've always avoided disturbing people during xp pt or coordinated events such as these as a simple courtesy.

This incredibly hard decision is not about whining that I didn't get help on a mission and I don't appreciate your pontificating on your interpretation of what being a player in the game is about.

If I am a little harsh or rude, I will apologize. I understand your situation, and it is a tough one.

I think you now realize the importance of forging important friendship and alliance with people beyond LS. You could have asked me in the game for help. I am usually quite up to helping anyone that ask politely and when I am free. It is hard to ask strangers to help, and chances are... you will get turned down.

It sucks that is the way in the game, and that will probably not change. That is why forging friendship is such a big component in the game. Some smaller LSs does get things done on their own. I have my pleasure to meet Sorrel, Veyve, and Hibiu in the game. They are small LS, but they get their stuff going and get things done within their LS. Of course LSs like Hibiu's and Sorrel's are also very tight and close. All members literally SP together, they literally do mission together, they literally do quests together.

I am not sure if I give you any new input, and unforutanetly your problem is really not the first day :( I myself had been in same boat in the past, and not until I get know some awesome people in Gaulimfry (sp) (it was Branwen's old chat LS) and Ninjaturtles (now part of KTO) that things "start" to move.

Feel free to ask me to help in the game when I am free. I will help, but it is still up to you to find more people. And the ability to do that, depends on what people you know. Do not feel shy to ask help from friends while do your best to solo whatever you can do.

Sorry I was being little bitter. But the fact you said "I am done with this" does make me kind of bitter when I read. Do not give up and keep trying. Things will get better -- it just takes time and initutive to get things done.
