If I am a little harsh or rude, I will apologize. I understand your situation, and it is a tough one.
I think you now realize the importance of forging important friendship and alliance with people beyond LS. You could have asked me in the game for help. I am usually quite up to helping anyone that ask politely and when I am free. It is hard to ask strangers to help, and chances are... you will get turned down.
It sucks that is the way in the game, and that will probably not change. That is why forging friendship is such a big component in the game. Some smaller LSs does get things done on their own. I have my pleasure to meet Sorrel, Veyve, and Hibiu in the game. They are small LS, but they get their stuff going and get things done within their LS. Of course LSs like Hibiu's and Sorrel's are also very tight and close. All members literally SP together, they literally do mission together, they literally do quests together.
I am not sure if I give you any new input, and unforutanetly your problem is really not the first day :( I myself had been in same boat in the past, and not until I get know some awesome people in Gaulimfry (sp) (it was Branwen's old chat LS) and Ninjaturtles (now part of KTO) that things "start" to move.
Feel free to ask me to help in the game when I am free. I will help, but it is still up to you to find more people. And the ability to do that, depends on what people you know. Do not feel shy to ask help from friends while do your best to solo whatever you can do.
Sorry I was being little bitter. But the fact you said "I am done with this" does make me kind of bitter when I read. Do not give up and keep trying. Things will get better -- it just takes time and initutive to get things done.

beautiful and good — that is the creed I seek.
