LoL. First off, I blacked out the crafter because a) It's not his fault and I put no blame on him and b) I don't want anyone to think negatively of him becaues of my bad luck. He waited patiently while I ran around like crazy to get the materials for this synth.... LoL.

A REAL cursed togi

*sigh* Melee Cyclas it is! LoL

4mil per divine log. :-/

A friend of mine is leaving and donated a pretty hefty sum of the second log to get me over the hump. I wanted him to see the finished togi =X.

It's of stuff like this that I'd have a VERY hard time synthing high end things for people when I finally get my woodworking capped. I got a lot of /tells from the crafter's friends. I feel pretty bad for him honestly. LoL. He took it like I would if I had busted it.

Omigosh, I know who was crafting that for you! Mwahahah!

Whole LS has been harping him for it, and the pain will continue on...

~as a joke of course.

Sorry about the break though, I don't think I've ever even had more than 2 mil on me at once. It's hard to imagine losing more than 8 mil in the matter of a second.

LoL nothing to do. I was just kinda shocked. I'm probably going to put my SAM on hold for a bit and get more serious about making gil. I've got avenues open (73WW, 52Alc,51Cooking) but I just need to use them. LoL.

I got .6 in skill ups in WW pretty quickly yesterday when I first logged on so I think I'm just gonna keep chuggin away at that. I'll build some gil up and then dump it into crafting to make it a bit easier to make some gil later. I might have to get SAM to 50 this weekend though so I can do the AF quests to break up crafting sessions.

LoL Danyu. Yeah I've never had more than 4mil. I usually only have about 1.5. I've been working on this one for about a month or so (since I got d.body abj).

Don't give him too hard a time. LoL. Like I said, I don't blame him at all.

Well I've always been a firm believer that the gear does not make a player good, and more expensive does not necessarily mean better. This is one of the very few high dollar items I've even really tried for. My LS felt me deserving of the abj so I put in the work to uncurse it (with some help ;-p).

Well, anything worth having is worth working for. LoL. Time to put in some more work. :-p Maybe this will finally get me in the gil making mode and benefit me in the long run. ;-)

IMO FFXI is 1/3 gear 2/3 skill. At such high level, a decked out monk, ninja, and warrior that have reasonable skill can do 1000+ Blade Jins, Raging/Asuran Fist, and Rampage (with a Bard) on IT.

I can probably up to 2600+ Thunderga III MBs with full MB and damage gear on a Thundersday Thunder Weather, but when I saw KI forum Quasit MBed for 3000+, my jaws dropped @_@. Anyway, I spent too much money in Black Mage gear...

Anyway, doing 1000+ WSs or 2000+ MBs on IT is not really that neccessary. Oh well part of FFXI is E-***** x_X

Well a friend of mine parsed an LS sky pt we had on weapons. I have all Rare/EX MNK gear and he's a decked out WAR/NIN (haub, maneater, woodsville, merited to all hell, brutal earring, etc etc). He, of course, did the bulk. I did 29% of total damage though which I thought was pretty good considering I only have 2 h2h merits and was using squid +1. LoL.

I had 3 or so Asuran Fists over 1k but not too many. I mainly build my monk to swing as often as I can. Granted if it's a more traditional pt where me doing some tanking from time to time is detrimental to the pt, I adjust. LoL. Otherwise, I try to pump in some haste + with ATT and swing away. LoL.

I want to cap my H2H merits and get some shura so I can go ATT food vs. sushi but we'll get there. LoL

Your "mini-monk" is armed to the teeth. LoL. I do want to get a bone pt up sometime soon for some more merits though. Maybe you, me, and Nako can go makes some skeles implode. :-p

I still need to get CrazyKitty and BigDaddy in a real bone pt. LoL.

On a positive note, my YF LS mates have been really supportive in getting me back on track to round 2. (I dread the next synth LoL). Thank you all for your help! I don't think 7k was going to get me very far. >< LoL. I lost a good bit of the drive for the game when I saw that work go down the drain, but I remembered a big reason I play the game when I saw so many want to help in some way.

The people really do drive this game.

Ohhh damn... I can't even comprehend what that must be like. So sorry to hear it happened to such a dedicated monk.

I think Kaces had a divine log or two explode on him as well.

At least as a member of YF, you can buy a log for half price from the LS if one drops, but thats still a lot of gil. Maybe you could talk some friends into camping the cemetery cherry and try for a charity log?

If you find it's ToD I would be happy to help you kill it. It should be easy to track down in the first few days following server maintenance. I'm not in an HNMLS anymore so there is nothing political about me helping on a silly 24 hr tree. I'll help anytime if you need me.

(Plan B is to wait for an Osode :O Maybe you will get a sympathy vote for the next one that drops ^^)

LoL. Osode is great, but I'd rather use Shura for my TP gain because I could use attack food. Once I get more merits I'll swap the o.hat for the panther mask and keep adding haste until I have trouble connecting. Osode I would love for WS and chi blast though.

But yeah, until I get shura I'd use the shiz outta osode. :-b

Well, I might have enough for another d.log tonight when I log on. We RARELY do Sky anymore so it's kind of silly for me to wait around on a Byakko run, then hope he actually drops the log. He's been good lately on D.Legs and D.Log but it's just like camping an NM expecting a drop, it won't happen. LoL
