I am currently Lance Corporal, and I am interested to see in doing Assault for rank up (which opens up more Assault missions which are more point profitable and more Imperial Standing items you get from guards).
This isn't the most efficient way to get points (because what I am interested in doing different Assault areas instead the same area over and over again) in the short term if you are after a specific item, but will open up the way towards that.

Seen you around a lot, but first post directed to you. >:)
Anyway... I am a recent Corporal and I am interested in ranking up as well. I go with people in my LS two days a week (Mon & Thurs most weeks)...
Most of them are up to PFC by now, with a few SP spinkled in... and one SM. We are working toward ranking up and mixing in repeats for people that want items. Ideally, I'd like to try at least one new Assault each time we go out, but it's hard since not everyone has the rank yet. Not to mention that it's not the same people that come every time.
Myself, I've only beaten 8 unique Assault... yet have attained Corporal. >.> 5/5 on PSC and 3/5 on PFC (lots of repeats, lol), so I have lots of new ones open to me and I'm eager to do more and get myself to SM & beyond.
Anyway... give me an idea of which ones you want to do and maybe we can organize some people to do some SP & LC Assault as they are available.

I am basically open to everything, but I do interested in rank uping (which is most efficiently done by doing all the different areas of the right rank -- if I have not mistaken). I will be very happy if someone will invite me to do an Assault :)
I did do repeats a lot -- mainly on Exvcation Duty and Lamia 13 (Probably like 20+ on each) >< And it gets old very fast >< but I do not mind doing those to help people to rank up.

Hey hey Ama. Just to post my 2 gil here. I'm SM and have been for a bit now. Now my group is farming assaults for yigit gear (I'm the last one left - about 3 weeks out to full yigit). It is my general opinion that the most profitable runs (for assault points) are some LC and some C. The reason being, there are runs easily trio-able (and that is how to maximize assault points). Those zones are:
Counting Sheep (C) for Leujaoam Sanction: No mobs, very puzzle-like, some random nature though.
The Doubel Agent (C) for Mamool: Basically an altered game of hot-cold. Some puks (will respawn), easily killed and easily avoided.
Evade and Escape (LC) for Lebros: Basically a giant game of pacman, easily done with three.
GOlden Savage for Ilrusi: I know, it is easily soloable by a smn, and sadly, I have been exploiting a friend's smn for this run. Kinda a cop-out on my part actually. Sorry
Building bridges for Periqia: This one SEEMS to be easily trioable. Periqia is the last zone I will need points in and actually I have yet to do this run, but this one seems to be the money one.

Oh I did 2 runs of the one that you steal treasure chests from the lizardmen.... no fighting at all @_@ interesting, and fun. so different with other FFXI contents.

I'm currently a SM but I'd like to get some points in before the update just in case they do add more ranks.
Also love to try Azure Experiments sometime if we get enough ppl to SM rank.

Hey I would love to do some Assaults. I am only a Private second class at the moment. If you have room on an assault run let me know send me a tell (Kuyon). My main job is rdm. ^^
Howdy Ama! Erasmus here. I am currently PFC with only 2 unique assaults. I have done Leaujam Cleansing and Excavation Duty more times than I care to mention. I am interested in trying out the other assaults and getting my rank up as long as you don't mind doing some PFC assaults. My blm is almost 72 and I have done uncapped without any issues. I have gear for 50 or 60 too, if that matters.
72 is fine for uncapped, if you wish to duo for BLM exp, we can do it sometime too like on Aerns (if you have sea), and Puddings.
Orichalcum Survey is also great for Black Mages, and gives more point. The only thing is that it could be too luck based. If you have Red Mage leveled (i.e. BLM/RDM), Lamia 13 is good if you are interested in Ilrusi Atoll.
