Sorry last few days been quite long... for me. It is not really long in the sense how much time I spend in my office, but it is emotionally very demanding.
I basically reached a quite important stage of academic career -- which is to finish my Ph.D.. The thing is....
1) I had to finish by 08/2007, or simply had to leave. If I didn't get done, I can pay by own wallet or my future employer's salary while waiting the last few get done. Thanks to our Bush Administration. Money is really tight for academia, and my two source of cash will be completely drained by August. And my yearly pay is only like 1% (or even less) of a god darn F-16. It didn't help that my field wasn't Bush's and Texan Big Oil's favorite one either (actually he hated what most of my peers had argued for :P).
2) I didn't even have a job lined after I am done. I may actually take some time off, but I think they may hurt my short term opportunity (for like next 2-3 years). But hell, I was basically in school last 12 years except 1. 2-3 months of rest isn't too... bad.
Sorry for feeling really down... In some ways, I might had wished I didn't play this game. I think it may had delayed my graduation for a semester ><

Art for the sake of art itself is an idle sentence.
Art for the sake of truth, for the sake of what is
beautiful and good — that is the creed I seek.

not when there is nothing left to add,
but when there is nothing left to take away.
