No, that would describe non-voters (like myself) in that situation. He saw the rape in progress and ran off to call the police - leaving the damage being done. I dunno. Or something.

Why you would bring rape in as an analogy is beyond me. It's a truly stupid comparison.
It's more like this. Your fellow employees decide that they want to vote to make a ******* a manager. You decide to vote for a better candidate. There's more of them than there are of you, but in the end, you did the right thing and they didn't.
I don't know that we'll ever have a viable 3rd party candidate to the extent that Perot was (at that time), but I do know that regardless of who wins this election, they have a lot of work to do. And even more to undo.
