Well the people in North Carolina (Yankees all) also call their sweet state Nawth Care-o-lah-nuh. Us hicks here in Arkansaw (actual original spelling when state charter first written in 18 and 36) know how to acc-ent-yew-ate a little better, hee hee.

That is how my wife's relatives pronounce it, but they are not from the city, just nearby.
