Michael Jackson to play 10 concerts in the O2 arena in London
I saw this on the TV news tonight and was gripped. During the limited time they showed his press conference where he looked very delicate and then shots from his trial, "balcony" incident and his last concerts.
I would love to see him live. If he was even half what he was, he was incredible and I'll watch some of that. Part of me also fears that despite his oddities and the fact that I would not leave a child with him - I remember him first and foremost as one of the greatest singers and dancers as I grew up. Would I come away dissapointed? He looked so frail, so weak, can he still spin and move and thrill on stage or would he snap like a twig?
Time used to stop when a Jackson record was released and we would all crowd around the TV watching "Top of the Pops". "Black or White", I can still remember the awe of the track and the morphing video. He was the prince of Pop in every way.
So I'm all mixed, do I try to book tickets or not? Keep the memories or make new ones and risk dissapointment?
