Press statement due 3:30pm BST (10:30am EST)

I think approximately $250,000 should go to the "Ash don't wanna work no mo" fund. It's a pittance, comparatively.

Hmm. That might leave enough for the "Nobby's beer-belly restoration fund".

Saint Bob Geldof is currently pontificating - pessimistic about how the proposal might benefit high and mid-level market economies: sub-saharan Africa is lightly to miss out again.

Not sure about that one. Smiley: um

I quite like the French/German position on this issue. Can't see how they'll implement it in practice, but theoretically I'm all in favour of it.

As for sub-saharan Africa... It was hard enough getting G8 leaders to care about it when everything was going swimmingly. Now that it's all crumbles down, I can't see them giving much of a ****.

- Naming & Shaming of countries operating protectionist policies

Promising.

I'll buy American when they stop making the clothes I want in Bangledesh.

For a while I tried sewing my own, then I gave up in disgust when I found out that most of the fabric for sale in the US is also made overseas.

Lose, lose, lose, unless I have $1000 to spend on a tailored shirt from Italy or if I want to look like a bag lady in home spun.

People who try to "sew their own" kill capitalism and are responsible for the downfall of all of the great civilizations.

Way to be a team player

Or is it just going to be printed??

Or what?

I don't think this is going to end well.......
