Yeah, that seems to be what I'm hearing from men about this. I asked because while it makes sense logically, I'd never have thought of it on my own. There's something "in the moment" about pornography to me and from what I understand (having done no formal large-sample research or anything like that), it's very in the moment for most women. Women don't, it seems, purchase pornography because they want a library of it to watch more than once. I've never watched the same piece of pornography more than once. I see something, if it does something for me great, if not, try something else, I'd never think "oh that was so fantastic, I must find more with that guy/girl in it because they clearly choose excellent roles". Part of the problem is that for me, pornography is mostly empathetic rather than voyeuristic so who is in it isn't particularly important.
