Tonight will be a bit of raiding followed by hungover yardwork and the gym tomorrow. Ma's day stuff Saturday night and then probably working from home on Sunday. Should be a hoot.

Mindel,

A lot of people are intimidated by large dogs, which is the way I like it. The Dane, who's name is Duke, is all black white star on the chest and white paws. He can be scary to a lot of people. He's over 225lbs.

What kind of business?
Pet sitting and dog walking. I'm tired of the corporate world and want to enjoy the outside a bit.
Man, I envy you for that. Srsly. I wish I could come up with something similar.

It's not like you'd be in direct competition. Smiley: laugh

Ash would want to conquer the world.... Isn't that right Pinky?
Poit, your head looks like a clean carrot.

I'm not scared of big dogs. The big ones are usually the squishiest lovers of them all, especially danes. I've known quite a few of them in my life. :)

More yard work, constructing a swinging bench dealie for Flea, whatever she wants to do for Mother's Day (we had plans but it'll be a little cool out so now it's an open reschedule), that's probably about it.

I haven't killed Nadenu yet in CoH so that'll have to be taken care of.

Very true. I have a Great Pyrenees that is the most lovable even tempered dog I've every known. Most big dogs, I've found, think they are lap dogs and want to cuddle all the time.

Convincing the world of the coming of the anti-Christ apparently.

Also, I like Newfoundlands, they are like animal couches.

This weekend, at least a bit, I'll meet up with a friend and go out to eat in Somerville. Do some reading, sleeping, organizing. Maybe I'll go exercise.

I love German Shepard's. And Huskies. I think I'll have a German Shepard and a Husky when I grow up.

Tonight: Yoga and seeing me mum.
Saturday: Playing football and watching football. I might even talk football. And think about it too.
Sunday: Go for a walk during the day, and then to a concert of some Norwegian pianist in the evening. No plans to see Star Trek.

Today: Going to sleep soon.
Saturday: Vegetable shopping, meeting at 11, water shopping and work, try and find some plant for my mum's garden. Any suggestions? (Middle Euopean climate)
Sunday: Work, read the Economist, memorise flight paths and skim the weekend paper, maybe get some random international newspaper and read that.

I absolutely need to turn a larger profit than usual this weekend, the week was subpar financially.

So true. Little ones can be the nasty ones. Our Maltipoo will lunge at strangers who try to come near the baby. (none of the animals are ever allowed to be alone with the baby) . My great Aunt had a nasty little chihuahua who would try to bite everyone except her. (Pokey)

As for weekend plans: Study for Criminal Behavior (Psychology) maybe go to the Admiral Nimitz Museum then have lunch at some little German Cafe nearby. I'd like to tour some grad schools these next few weeks, to get an idea of their programs. I've been eying UTSA's MSW program. Initially I was considering majoring in Counseling but with an MSW I can do that and more.

Tonight: Just relaxing after one of the most hellish weeks at work. Emergency court filings almost every day this week.

Tomorrow: All day seminar on litigation procedure. I'm going to be dying. So, Nio, DF and assorted other posters, expect me to do some texting to you guys.

Sunday: Church and Mother's Day fun. Hanging out at Seaport Village. Seeing my own mommy, my grandmother, a few cousins and aunts.

I'm a big fan of large dogs. My dane is very old now and going blind on top of her genetic deafness. I dread having to get another dog, particularly with the kids so young.

About to go to bed.

Tomorrow and Sunday, Monday and everyday until all the remodeling is done, I'll be calling to see when daughter and her boyfriend will be over to install the new whirlpool tub and finish rest of the bathroom.Smiley: grin

I spent day actually doing something in my studio trying to clean up from my sewing, and working on ideas for jewelry designs. I hope to start stringing necklace and making matching earrings tomorrow. If I find beading thread, I'll start sewing beads onto some velvet and lace ribbon trim I have for a choker.

I'm looking at applying for a P.A.S.S. so I can save up and start my own business. I figure if I'm going to keep having people ask me to make them things and ofter to pay for my handmade socks, clothings and hopefully jewelry, I should be able to cover the cost of my hobbies. Nice thing about handcrafted items is I can decide on my own hours and only do things with a deadline when I am sure I'll feel up to it. Problem is making enough money to pay for my health care if I'm thinking of doing this and make enough that I no longer will get SSI.

Daughter just started her costuming business last week and has 3 pairs of wings to finish before Wednesday. She finish a small pair for a 2 year old, that are far nicer then any you could buy at a costume store. They are shear pink fabric with rhinestones with small ribbon roses glue on to them. I need to see if she has any pictures I can share of them. She making me a pair from some of the same material in gold, I got for my costumes.

I bought a new baseball glove tonight, and I'm playing tomorrow afternoon. I haven't picked up a bat since high school, and I imagine I'll be pretty garbage. From what I understand, though, is that most of the guys pretty much just throw junkballs, so we'll see. Beer and grilling after the game.

Sunday, breakfast with mom, then visiting my grandparents. If I'm as pumped about playing ball again as I think I'm going to be after tomorrow, I might hit up the batting cages Sunday afternoon.

yeah, the big ones know they are the kings of the world, and can afford to be cuddly. The little ones have a lot of work to do to be considered a threat, so they end up being right evil things. I'll take a soppy lab over a fiesty chihuahua any day.
