Well, now I've made 23 of these posts. Yay!

When I first started posting here, if you had asked me if i would ever have more than 1,000 posts here, I would have looked at you like you were crazy, laughed, then ran off into the sunset screaming. Of course, I was in college at the time, so chances are I would have done that regardless of the question asked.

The world has changed since that day when I made my first fateful post asking how to get thorny vine ranger armor for everquest 1. From 1 MMO to hundreds. From computers that lacked any 3D acceleration, to computers that rival supercomputers on several fronts. The World stage has changed, and with it this forum.

In those 23,000 posts I've gone from vancouver, to Arizona, to Houston, and back to Vancouver. I've changed carreers twice. I've banned more goldsellers than any of you have posts. And I've done it all laughing like a maniac the entire time. (the upstairs neighbors are getting a little tired of it, but if all goes to plan i'll have a house very soon so that won't be a problem. Stupid short sales!)

Anyways, kind of a repeat from the 9 year thread, but Thanks to everyone for being here and keeping the place interesting. maybe another 23,000 posts and I'll pass jophiel again!

Its easy to tell you love your job (except for Usagi's 13 pages). You have actually been quite professional, yet made yourself approachable. That's cool.
Happy ding! And a wish for many more dings!

Thanks for the reminder, geesh, I swear if my head wasn't attached! Anyway, to answer your question:

Ok first up, you probably already know, but Thorny Vine Armor is No Drop, so keep that in mind if you're going to get it. Also, they're a dark green plate armor so if it doesn't coordinate with your other stuff, you may want to reconsider since everyone knows rangers are wicked gay fashionistas. If you still decide to go ahead with it, you'll need to kill a whole bunch of creatures in the Plane Of Fear.

Good luck!

Wasn't there something you had to do in Kithicor for that armor? My husband had a ranger and we had to go there for something, it seems. I was verrah scared.

Anywho, congrats Kao!

There's a ranger guild master you have to report to, I think.

It's even skeerier now. All undead all the time, these days.

If you are a rogue, and you're born in Kithicor, the party line is that you call yourself a "scout". Keep a bow around. Sometimes it helps convince the locals. Oh ya, and if you pickpocket the mob, it does actually take money away from the split, so use wisely.

I was pretty sure I'd never hit 1k, and now look!

My guess would be 10 years.

And perhaps 24k.

Just a guess though.
