...I got Season 1 of Weeds in the other day. Got about four episodes in, realized that I wasn't interested in the characters, didn't find it especially amusing and was wasting my time. So I sent it back. I was kind of surprised because it's had all sorts of praise but... whatcha gonna do? I suppose it's always on Netflix's "Watch Instantly" should I change my mind.

On the plus side, I got Season 2 of Mad Men in and it's all Smiley: thumbsup

I thought it was important that you guys know this.

Weeds is "ok". Andy makes me laugh but I have no sympathy for Nancy at all. We still watch it though because it beats reality TV. We have Mad Men in our queue for watchies next. I still have to catch up on 30 Rock and the Office too.

For some reason, Mr. Tare is making my watch all the seasons of the Larry Sanders show. :(

I didn't like Weeds too much either. I've got the entire series of Red Dwarf in my queue though, can't wait to start getting those in.

Ha, 4 episodes is as far as I got into Season 1 of Weeds before losing interest, too. My fiance likes it, though, and has watched most of the rest of Season 1 without me. Which would be cool, except that her new interest in Weeds has completely drained her interest in watching The Wire, leaving me with the uncomfortable decision of whether or not to ditch her in the middle of Season 3 and continue watching the rest of it by myself. Boo.

While we still had Netflix I rented season 1 of Sledge Hammer! for a blast from my past. That's the corniest, cheesiest good fun you can think of.

I like weeds. Although it's probably fairer to say I find Nancy sexually attractive, Doug funny, and Guillermo to be an amusing Hispanic stereotype.

The rest of the show and characters are largely meaningless to me.

Mary Louise Parker has got to be the reigning "hottest woman over 40." And hotter than most 20 and 30 year-old actresses to boot.

I've never seen the show, but I also thought it was important you know this.

You would certainly appreciate the spanking and sex scenes season 3 and 4 (I think 3 is the first time you see her naked) contain.

I love Weeds. I do remember when it first came out I didn't care for it but then the second season aired on TV and I went back to On-Demand the first set. It got much better as it went on and now I own all the seasons and religiously watch it on Monday nights. I would totally fk Nancy in a heartbeat.

The only two things that I watch on TV are Weeds and True Blood. If I had to cancel one of those premium channels, it'd be the HBO.

Weeds > True Blood

She is quite the hottie. One of my friends highly recommended the show, and I was pretty "meh" after the first 2 or 3. I ended up muscling through to the end of the season though, and it did get better. Not sure that I would bother watching it further.

I Netflix'd Season 1 of Rome, and it's pretty interesting. I'd highly recommend Deadwood to those who haven't seen it yet. Quite possibly my favorite TV series I've seen to date.

Rome was worth watching through to the end although the third season is rushed. They found out they were being canceled due to production costs and had to compress a lot of time into the final six or eight episodes.

I'm still mad at HBO for canning Deadwood and Rome.

I found Weeds humerous enough until the end of the second season. Where, after ******** for 2 seasons about how this wasn't the life for her, and after her neighborhood burns down, she decides to run a cartel from TJ to San Diego.

It just seemed to spiral out of control from there so i stopped watching.

My girlfriend loves the show, and I happened to watch the episode in season 4 I think where she gets all nude. Was great.

Very, very rushed. I came to this conclusion largely because of it not existing :) I agree, the second season was forced, but at least it ties in nicely with I Claudius.

Im working my way through them and burning them as they get in. Season 4 bonus disk is on the way back to them right now.

God I love that show..

I thought Weeds was a bit disappointing. I only watched a few episodes of the first series, and it didn't get me hooked.

I did fall in love with Flight of the Conchords, though. Went through the 2 seasons in a week, and thought it was hilarious. I think the bits in between the songs are often funnier than the songs themselves. Murray might be a bit of a David brent rip-off, but I love that caracter.

And the accint. I <3 the Kiwi accint.
