This is a vast improvement over the CoH method of making a change, then looking at the character. Nope, that's not quite right, try again. Opps. On that location, this color affects that bit. Drat! I changed the pattern and I want the colors reversed, etc...

I have no dog in the CoX/CO thing and figure they're different enough that there's room for both. But I have no idea what your criticism is supposed to be here.

In CoH, when you change a color, it replaces the picture of your character with the color selection. You pick a color, then look at the picture. It's not a huge deal, but I found that being able to see the color change on your character based on the selection you chose as you mouse over the colors live instead of switching back and forth to be amazingly time-saving.

Hey. It's not like it's a dealbreaker or anything. It's just that the back-and-forth process in CoH was right around my threshold in terms of time I really wanted to spend making a costume "just right", so I pretty rarely bothered with really micro-managing colors on each location. I'd usually do the head manually, then pick a good color combination and just copy it across the whole character and then pick and choose costume pieces which worked.

The mechanism in Champions just makes it a lot easier to see how the color you're considering will fit into the whole, making me far more willing to customize colors on a per-location basis. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a huge deal, but if we're comparing the character creators between the two games, this was the one thing that actually struck me as a huge improvement.

No, I get it. It's just never been remotely an issue or frustration for me. It's cool that it's better for you in CO though.

Frankly, I'm surprised at how little notice the game has gotten around here. We spent more time discussing Pirates of the Burning Sea than this game.
I think we've spent more time discussing Fasaria than Champions Online.

I got the CO beta and never even tried it. I watched my son run around in it some. I wasn't too thrilled with the cartoon graphics and it seemed like it was just CoH in a different city.

Speaking of CoX, the other night I was in a successful group and, afterwords, the tank asked to friend us all globally. Turns out his global name was @Psychojester and he was, indeed, that Psychojester. He says "Hi".

Hahaha!

Was playing last night. Apparently, they've got the whole "Big Trouble in Little China" plotline in there. Totally didn't expect it. Guy named "Burt Jackson" lamenting that his truck has been stolen and wants you to get it back. He rambles out some monologue like "Well... When life is tough, and Doctor Destroyer has his hands around your neck, you just do what ol Burt Jackson does in a time like that...". Nice touch.
