Based on Medieval 2: Total war, I must disagree and say, Elephant Artillery.

How much stored energy does it take to launch an elephant at someone?

I'm not sure, but I think you'd have better luck putting a cannon on an elephant's back.

No, silly, the elephants launched various nasty snotshot with their trunks!

That's a shame. I would find it far more frightening to be on the receiving end of an airborne pachyderm.

That's good, because there's people here who won't play it if it ain't got dwarves.

NO ROLEPLAYING.

The coolest medieval weapon is the crossbow, a pitiless, elegant killing machine.

Apart from the Aqueducts, roads, the drainage system, wines. . .

. . . the Romans had a type of 'gatling' weapon that used a rotating magazine of large arrowed bolts to do ignoble harm to oiks.

Just sayin'

I'm still very interested in the ability to launch elephants.

What was that Korean weapon called? The one which fired a load of bolts at once, which exploded after impact? I think it was 17th century.

The first one sucked pretty hard. My brief experience with the game:

You arrive at the US Embassy.
>siege that ************
Command not recognised.
>siege it
Command not recognised.
>siege
Command not recognised.
>quit
Quit Y/N?
>Y

I doubt it's gotten any better. Not much else has.

I am interpreting "medieval" as "cool and old," by the way.

As cool as that pistol katar thingie looks, I see a slight problem with it. Has something to do with gravity and powder...

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to fire a flintlock pistol upside down, and even carrying it in that position would render it unfireable as well. But that's just me...
