I finally got my stupid motherboard RMA back fdrom Asus, andthat coupled with a higher flow rated pump and water block for the water cooling kit are all now installed. My computer can once again beat up your computer. and I survived 28 freeking days of withdrawl.

Die in a fire Asus.

So did your budget blow out, or accrue savings while you were computerless?

I'm all burned out on MMOs at the moment, but it's more expensive because I can't stop myself buying books now. Monthly MMO fee is nice and cost-effective, really, when you play it a lot.

Also, Mabrook and I'm happy for you.

No kidding.

Are they any better now that they're a subsidiary of Dell?

Alienware were always more for less. A triumph of advertising over content.

I thought this post was going to detail your experiences when you realized your new house was haunted and tried to eat your soul.

Congrats on getting the PC up and running again, though. I had a mini-meltdown last week after cleaning mine. Cleaned and oiled all the fans, replaced all the thermal paste, etc. But the clip on the GPU fan wasn't seated properly, so in the middle of a gaming session my GPU went from 80C to 165C to 199C before everything went kerflooey and shut down. It's ok now though. Oh, and my laptop is reporting a temperature of 17198C. Yes, it's hotter than the surface of the Sun. I roast hotdogs on this bad boy now.

Asus mobos don't die in fires. A friend of mine had one survive an apartment fire. It kept going for another 3 years.
