Apparently today I'm locked inside for the next 24 hours at least. I was sitting at Walgreens in the parkinglot looking at the pictures that I had just gotten developed while a man knocked on my window. I saw that he was a Government Official so I was a little concerned. He said that a dude just robbed the bank across the street and that I need to lock my doors if I'm sitting in the car and he is going around to all businesses to tell them to keep the doors locked.

Good news, they caught him.

I'm assuming we're speaking of the same guy unless there's a rash of bank robberies in the area today.

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. - A bank robber who managed to overcome the two officers who'd been transporting him has been recaptured in suburban Chicago.

Yep!

Honestly now. You're arrested for multiple crimes, overcome two police (while in shackles!), steal a couple cars in the course of your escape and... instead of lying low for a bit, you decide to rob another bank??

Yeesh.

I'm maybe 5 minutes from 59 in West Chicago. I shoulda looked for him myself. I could have used that money. Lol. It seems that West Chicago calls in all the bank robbers. Tanya's friend is currently serving a sentence for robbing a bank three years ago, also from West Chicago. Oh well. There's always another one coming.

Note to Self: Don't rob banks in West Chicago 'cause they're all already tapped out.

Hah! I went to the Demolition Derby at a nearby County Fair a couple weeks ago. Not been to a wine tasting in forever though. Smiley: glare

My Dad is here visiting so I'm doing touristy stuff and playing lots of cribbage. Smiley: smile

We do what we can.

And yes, BBQ is pork, beef or chicken in BBQ sauce. You can *maybe* classify ribs as BBQ, but we prefer to just call them ribs. Anything else cooked outside on a grill is just grilling out/cooking out.

I'm still fighting morning/all-day sickness.

What are you having? Do you know? I am assuming you have a little girl in the belly. Only basing that on morning sickness since I had a boy and I didn't experience it at all.

Did you seriously just imply that expectant mothers who have morning sickness are going to have a girl?

I did. I didn't say it was confirmed but the more women I know with morning sickness have had girls. I don't see a problem with guessing.. It's fun.

Speaking from experience I can guarantee that having morning sickness does not equate to having a girl. I dealt with morning sickness with all three pregnancies, all of which were boys. The last one kicked my *** in regards to morning sickness. Way worse than the first two combined.

Man, I haven’t been logged in for ages. Weekend plans are as follows..

Saturday:

Connor just turned one so we are going to get his year pic’s taken on Saturday. I can’t believe it’s been a year already.

A run to Lowes for Water Softener Salt, replacement toilet seats, and some gardening odds and ends.

Gardening with the afore mentioned odds and ends. The weeds are starting to take over my mini rose bushes so I need to get them under control.

Sunday:

Heading off to the Clovis fair for the morning before it gets to hot.

Maybe catch the end of the 49ers game.

In-laws are coming over for dinner that evening and the wife wants to ask them advise on setting up a college fund for Connor. Her dad is pretty financially savvy so we can butter him up with a Tri-tip and margaritas.
