I don't think I want to start talking about time and tenses right now, so, okay.

All right Sweetums, if that is your real name, you win this round.

Jean Paul Sartre was sitting in a Parisian café when a waitress approached him.

"Can I get you anything to drink, Monsieur Sartre?" she asked.

"Yes, I'd like a cup of coffee with sugar, but no cream," replied Sartre.

The waitress walked off to fill the order and Sartre returned to working. A few minutes later, however, the waitress returned and said, "I'm sorry, Monsieur Sartre, we are all out of cream - how about with no milk?"

This is no time for jokes, Pensive. Maximising the efficiency of obfuscated insinuations is serious fucking business.

I don't think rating is tied to premium. Did you get your *** no-rated?

Yeah, and deservedly so, but it was only enforced by Kaolian after I made fun of him in a recent thread. He's like a 6-year old, I swear.

You got off easy too that was the first time I had looked at your ratings since most asylumites know better... By rights I should undo all the Gbaji rating you were doing, and transfer them to you instead. But keep pushing. Really.

Have you considered that the source of these complaints that vex you so is that you respond to people based on how much they annoy you, and that by pursuing this course of action you only incite further complaint?

No, because people that are stupid enough to continue to get in a pissing contest with an admin lose.

It's hardly a contest if someone doesn't, eh?

But seriously, its not about winning or losing, its about how long i'll let someone push something before I reign it in. Trickybeck wants to go this route, we go this route. He knows where that path ends.

You know, I'm always worried about saying anything to an admin because I'm afraid they'll penalize me in some way instead of just participating in the discussion.

Working as intended.

Sidenote: They are hiring for a couple design projects that you expressed interest in Kao, Do you have the technical background for it, or just interest?

I'm of the opinion that given the nature of the asylum admins who post in it should not be the same admins that actually do the small amount of moderating. All moderating should be done in an impersonal but transparent and open way. I find it very strange that Kao picks fights with people and then involves his admin status into the argument. I think it's a fairly small problem though. 99% of my asylum browsing is free of admin conflicts.

This is pretty sad.

If the karma camping warrants banning, then decide that on its own merits. Factoring in personal insults in a forum designated for such behavior is pathetic and infantile.

This all ties in with your distorted world view. You wish you could be some heroic medieval knight, but you can't, so you carry this fantasy over into any situation you've determined you hold power in.

If I want to "go this route, we got his route"? What is this, a duel over our honor? There's no "pissing contest." What, am I going to argue, "haha my forum powers are superior"? I criticize your professional and social interactions, and you don't like being disrespected. That's the entire "contest."

The thing you can "let someone push" is the karma camping. Which you've "reigned in." If you decide that deriding criticism or asylum-contained insults are something that needs to be "reigned in," then I believe you to be severely misguided; and I offer the advice that bristling at such things only diminishes the respect that you so desperately crave.

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm not sure why you have a beef with me, I always liked you for the most part even if you were irritating at times. It's not the onsie twosies, it's the continual nature, and the progressiveness of it that is at issue.

Well that was disarming. (No sarcasm intended.)

Something like half of what I typically direct at you is, I feel, valid objective criticism. And the other half is reactionary contempt at the e-machismo displayed.

At any rate, I don't intend to maintain any sort of personal grudge or vendetta. Although you have, and I'd guess you probably will continue to serve as, a foil of sorts. It's good inspiration for one with posting apathy.

Much easier than the old rating method was!

Yeah, I rated a lot. Although honestly, I feel 99% of them were valid ratings. It just so happens that certain members post 99% utter crap.

Click enough in the general area and something's bound to happen!

It's true. GrowlingBunny, as a random example, has two good posts max, another ten or so that are tolerable.

I don't believe anyone is asserting that you punish posters without objective justification. The assertion is that there are times when you choose to carry out that punish only after the individual personally offends you.

For example, when Warmerick was banned I do believe there was reasonable cause existing for the ban, but it was only when he egged you on that you then decided to ban him. His previous infractions were either ban worthy or they weren't, but you allowed personal offense to be the tipping factor.

I don't believe this is frequently the case, but I do believe it is rarely the case.

Clicking is more accurate with lasers than with balls.
