We spent $150 on dinner once. Just once.
It was at
Fogo de Chao in Atlanta, a churrasco style buffet. Dinner is $50 a plate for all you can eat fire roasted steak, hand carved at your table from spits. Toss in a $30 bottle of wine and $20 for a tip, and yes indeed, we spent that much on one dinner.
On the upside, that restaurant has the best damn service at any place I have ever eaten, bar none. Rather than assign a table an individual waiter, the staff circulates freely replenishing food, water, drinks, and basically treating everyone who eats there like a king.
We've agreed to only eat there once every few years, for super special occasions. That was my birthday present the last time we ate there.
