Not a great start to the weekend...Mia up at 6:30, dead fish in her fish tank, door got closed on Jack's fingers and I feel like I have a hangover. Go figure.

Not sure how my weekend is going to pan out. Mia is coughing so I suspect a cold is on the way, which is too bad since we were considering a trip to the State Fair on Sat or Sun. I may still try and take my little lady to Where the Wild Things Are tonight if she's up to it. Girls Night Out!

Other than that, we have no concrete plans. Feels pretty good! :)

The last of the relatives leaves Sunday morning. Then I think I'll leave my bed unmade, the dishes unwashed, run around my house nekkid and then have sex with the hubby on the living room floor.

Here's a cute lil Friday game. Windosill

I will be studying all weekend for a bonus Physics test that our professor is giving us because our first test scores were abysmal. Differential Equations homework as well. Huskers play Texas Tech on Saturday and I'll be watching that as well Smiley: thumbsup

I'm supposed to have baseball practice tonight, followed by wall-climbing, followed by drinking of the second kind.
Tomorrow I'm installing some outdoor carpet (don't ask) with more drinking.
Sunday is a baseball game, then second Thanksgiving.

I think I may have to call in sick on Monday.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend, as it's the first one in a while that isn't either super busy or filled with house repair stuff. I have to put up molding on my windows, but other then that it's just relax. I acquired a smoker, and so am hoping to smoke a roast that's been rubbed and is resting at the moment. mmmm, so good. Pics will follow!

Dropped off the wife at the airport this morning so she could go visit her sister in Louisiana for the weekend. This frees me up for a weekend binge of playing FFXI, really loud guitar playing, beer drinking, and movie watching. I'm looking forward to this, I haven't had a total bachelor weekend in a really long time.

This afternoon Takeo has a try out for Huggies. Adkids called us 2 days ago and told us Huggies spotted him on their website and wants to use him tonight....

I'm really scared. Takeo takes a nap at 4:30 and is in bed by 6PM every night. Any minute after 6, he is a complete monster. He sleeps from 6-5AM.

Our appointment is at 4:30 and they said it may run about 2 hours. I don't know how he is going to act...

I am debating to drive down there and possibly getting him to nap along the way.. but pay parking and gas, or to take the train, where he will love the people and get all excited, free, but the downfall... Maybe no nap and maybe he will be worn out of people by the time we get there.

Sh*t.

Otherwise, I haven't any plans. Just did two loads of laundry and I hope tonight goes well. I do plan on lvling an alt tonight and possibly renting a movie.

uh oh. dead fish in fish tank are never good. On that note, if you have a heater in that tank and it is one of the glass aquarium heater kind that kinda looks like a light bulb, please please please replace it with an all metal one. you will save yourself trauma someday that way. I had a glass one that failed in the "cook fish" position. lost an entire at the time 50 gallon tank of fish. At least now you get to go fish shopping!

Lets see, what am I doing this weekend?

I'm going garage freezer shopping today, so I have a place to store my meat collection. I also have yard contractors coming over to look at the "what the **** were they thinking when they didn't grade that before they built the house on top of it, especially since all the neighboring lots and roads are a good 7 feet lower than your lot" mess that I have. It's looking like a 2 foot long, 4 foot high retaining wall, lots of fill dirt and tubes is the answer.

Saturday we're going to the Heirloom apple festival. ironically, being allergic to apples I won't get to eat any of them, but supposedly they will have more than 200 different kinds. ( i may grab some to cook though. I'm allergic to the skins mosstly, and cooked apples in small quantities seem to be ok.)

Sunday, I dunno. probably sleep in and do as little as humanly possible! yay!

a friend of mine was diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer this week so a bunch of us are getting together tonight with pizza, sweets, and alcohol to go cheer her up and let her know we got her back. I refuse to drink her husbands margaritas tonight because last time I did I ended up getting a ride from a friend and having to go back the next day for my car. I swear he puts an entire bottle of Jose Cuervo in one pitcher of margarita mix. I'll stick to Duvel tonight and maybe a glass of cab.

Tomorrow is a birthday party for one of my friends son (Ashes buddy). We are debating about going to the State fair as well on Sunday but I have a feeling we'll probably just try and relax a bit. Some of us are still trying to catch up on sleep from last weeks flu attack

It's supposed to be a pretty cold and rainy weekend here. I think I'll do as little as possible. I might make chili tomorrow, but even that's pushing it.

My uncle passed away from cancer last week so this weekend is just funeral services. And it's been a hellish couple of weeks at work and I got behind on a bunch of stuff so I need to finagle some time to get out to the office to catch up.

Husband got all "exceeds expectations" on his first work review so I treated him to a bottle of wine tonight at dinner. Fortunately, we were wise and walked to the restaurant, so we were able to polish it off without concern about driving (and avoid DUIs and get a little fresh air and exercise, too.)

Saturday: Help sis and brother in law laying a new driveway (how the hell do you call it? Laying? making?), get some shopping done for my sports clothes, got shoes, socks and some sports boxers)
Sunday: Do some fitness around 11, nothing much the rest of the day, probably a nice long hot bath with a nice cup of coffee and a good book.
