How was anything said hypocritical? The cost is enormous, and ignoring it is unrealistic. Innocent people tend to wind up dead with the death penalty, and yet you ignore it, which is unrealistic. There's almost never a case of 100% proof, but you insist the death penalty should be in place to punish certain crimes even if there's a chance they are wrong... which is unrealistic.
Your entire argument is based on something other than reality. Ever response that hasn't been insulting you (and most of those that have) just hit that point again and again. The one time I agreed with you (while still saying, "sure, although you realize this is unrealistic and won't happen in reality"), the next reply you call me (as you responded to me) hypocritical.
You base your views on something other than reality and then cry that we don't see the sense in them. Well, yeah, sorry for pointing out the obvious.
You misunderstand. Your hypocrisy is trying to make out that somehow I'm the one who isn't responding to what people are saying when it's the other way around.
You might want to take a step back and realise how pathetic you guys have acted.
I started this thread with a simple observation about the death penalty.
You guys spend 100 posts trying to change the subject, throwing pathetic insults and acting like the typical web scumbags you're famous for being.
Then, one by one you actually address my point almost in a civil fashion.
Then several of you actually agree with me that it's a deserving punishment for the crime.
You could have gone straight from reading my initial post to addressing my point and agreeing with me in 1 post.
Instead you (collectively) went the way described above and make yourselves look like total ********* in the process.
Next time may I suggest you simply read the point being made carefully, then respond and either agree or disagree in 1 post.
Result? A thread that is actually readable and you guys don't perpetuate your reputation as a bunch of pointless keyboard warrior ********* who are incapable of having a normal conversation with anyone.
