I'm starting this thread in anticipation. I will be on the lookout for interesting and unique gift ideas off and on over the course of the next several weeks and will post my finds for you here in case there is something that lets you cross someone off your list.

To start: bacon flavored envelopes - a box of 25 is only $6.99.

Also: Personalized Heinz ketchup and/or mustard bottles. I like that they have the old school glass ones...you can barely even find those anymore.

I'm thinking of getting my sister a set and having the mustard bottle labeled ketchup and the ketchup mustard.

Someone did some studies on the contamination found on the bottoms of womens hand bags. Apparently, they get set down in some pretty dirty places. Consequently they tested out as "ewwwww".

Now you can buy a handbag accessory to avoid ever having to put your purse on the floor again. The Cute at The Table.

I like the way this is going.

Next up: Anything at the xkcd store...though I'm especially pleased to see that they offer a 36" high version of their "height" poster.

For that special person in your life that wants an RPG-7 launcher.

You have to be over 18 to order any of the ammo, but they do offer high-explosive munitions.

I suspect if you have a valuable enough bag that it matters to you, $560 is no option.

However, I just don't get designer bags. I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me what bag could possibly be worth almost as much as it would cost for me to pay someone to trail around behind me carrying my belongings for a month.

Since adding a diaper bag to my list of necessities when out and about, I've further pared things down, and now I live by the rule that (except for the diaper bag) if it can't fit in my pockets, I don't really need it. Thus when I leave the house, it's the the diaper bag, a wallet, my keys, and maybe a tube of lip balm.

Why spend $560, when you can get a Foldable purse hanger, lead-safe nickel-plated pewter, 45x5mm round. Sold individually, for as low as $2.17?. That is if you want to order over 200 items from Fire Mountain Gems, but still their price for 1 to 14 items is just $5.92.

I think all of the smokers here need one of these.

I hear they don't work unless the hanger is more expensive than the purse. It's a balance thing.

I couldn't figure out what the f*ck those first incredibly expensive ones were supposed to do for like, 20 minutes. Shame on me for being such a heterosexual male, I guess.

Most popular gifts this year, according to The Onion.

If I had a daughter, I'd definitely buy her the Governor for a Couple Years Barbie.
