You say crap like this about the lower classes and then you have the BALLS to call Dems "elitist?"
It's a fact lower classes, minorities, and welfare cases overwhelmingly vote democrat. For the most part these people are not educated and will vote for whoever promises to give them the most. And yes Dems are elitist. Just because they pander to the lower class during an election cycle doesn't mean they have the best interest of that group at heart. In fact it's just the opposite. The more people that don't need to rely on govn the less overall support the Democrats have.
Man, you are so out of touch with reality. The poorest states - those who comprise the economic lower class, those who are on welfare - are overwhelmingly located in the states that constantly vote red for the majority of elections.
Specifically, the southern states are the poorest. How often do they vote democrat?
I thought so. Care to make any other dumb, easily trounced claims?
EDIT: Just for clarification, when ranking the highest % of people below povery per state, the top 15 are almost all (13/15) red states, with the exception of the lowest on the list (NY) and one swing state (New Mexico).
Of the states with the least amount of poor, the majority (9) of the bottom 15 vote heavily democratic, 5 are republican, and 1 swing state (alhtough thats NH, which typically goes Democratic anyway).
