As someone quoted in another thread, a climate change scientist noted the deep irony that the US and Canada is experiencing the coolest average temperatures this year than we have for the last decade, and we are where the global warming deniers are most deeply entrenched.

People in FL and along the coast are ******* but hey, if it means cooler summers in Georgia and more snow for us in the winter, I'm all for it!

I'm not sure why that's ironic, really. People are stupid. They take the term "global warming" very seriously, and when it's colder than usual, they're going to say that it's obvious Global Warming isn't happening. That's not really irony, it makes sense. Smiley: confused

WTF are you going on about?

It's about 28 in central Maine this morning. Yesterday was quite a stinker. We saw strong winds, heaps of snow and freezing rain to top everything off - we got released from work at 12:30 though:)

I really shouldn't be complaining of a low of 51 with a chance of rain today then. But I have to. My tropical DNA can't take this.

Yeah, it's 25 degrees here, and I'm in Tennessee. It just seems weird.

Last year, I didn't need my winter coat until mid-January, from what I remember.

If I wanted to live someplace where it was this fucking cold, I'd have stayed in Michigan. Brass monkey, say good-bye to your balls. Hello, witch's tit, and a whole bunch of other cliches. Dubyoo-tee-eff, Oregon?

Smiley: lol 51 degrees is still shorts weather.

It's 15 here today. I think I had ice on my lungs as I walked from my car to my class.

It's actually up to 0 now. To be honest, yesterday was worse. The wind was a lot nastier and it was blowing snow too.

Well, it's negative thirty with the wind chill factored in here in Des Moines today. FUck all of you. In the ***. With an icicle. I went out to excavate the car this morning and I fell in snow up to my waist. My balls got cold, and I got mad. Driver's side door was frozen shut. Snow had drifted up over the hood. Another day on the couch.

Our windchill was -25 but we didn't have the snow. Had ice on my car though!

I appeal to Flea's Catholic nature and tell her that every winter in Chicago is a couple months less Purgatory when the time comes.

This, pretty much.

"Our winters are mild," he said.

"It never gets this cold in Oregon!" he said.

Hah.

And my front door doesn't stay closed unless I lock it. >.< I have my desk pushed up against the heat vent in the wall to keep my toes warm and I'm still freezing.

Must have been warmer in Middle TN then, because in East TN, we had 20 degree temps in November. I know, because my son was still playing football in that ****. Brrr... Was cold here last year. Cold here this year too.

The terminology is the problem. "Climate Change" is more accurate than "Global Warming". It's not all necessarily going to get warmer.

Yeah, but I don't think that morons in the US thinking that "Climate Change" doesn't exist because the earth isn't getting warmer is ironic at all. Par for the course, actually.

20 F with 20-30 MPH winds. Only a light dusting of snow though. It could be worse.

The English weather luckily doesn't change too much over the course of the year and it's at nice temperatures most of the time.

I'm still cold but that's because I have some sort of infection.
