Nah. I mean, there's nothing stopping me from making a Match.com profile or an Alla Wiki or a sockpuppet account here or whatever for him now except that I don't don't have any interest in doing so.

It's kinda funny to watch him close ranks in defense of his fellow Republican shill, though.

Beats me. If they did though, I'm guessing the other person wouldn't admit to it, then make up a story about why it's not true, then say a co-worker did it and then deny having admitted to it originally.

To be fair, we'd probably not be nearly as interested in it if Virus didn't frequently come along spewing homophobic tirades. Blatant and documented hypocrisy goes to credibility.

Sure. But it gets tiring. It's like that time in High School when you finally matured enough to realize that it's just not really funny anymore to constantly bring up the fact that some kid pooped his pants in 1st grade anytime he opens his mouth and you want to shut him up. Well, some of us matured to that point...

I guess maybe I'm wired differently than most people, but I don't gain a whole lot of satisfaction in "winning" an argument by finding something to make fun of the other person with. Much less repeating the same thing every time I want to "win" and thinking that this somehow makes me better than the other guy. It's cheap. It's childish. And frankly, it speaks more about you than it does about the guy you're making fun of.

I think it's less a liberal thing than a "Varrus is a chucklehead" thing.

No argument there.

If that is the case, it seems like you're just stooping to his level. Aren't there better ways to respond to blatant examples of homophobia then "Hah hah! I found a thingie on the internet saying you are gay. Gay!!!".

I mean is that really the best response you could come up with? Really? Don't get me wrong, it's funny the first time. It's just stupid in the 10th thread about gay marriage or whatever.

No, genius. It's actually, "Hah hah! I found a thingie on the internet saying you are a complete hypocrite, and therefore your opinions on the subject have zero credibility."

See the difference?

It's not meant to be funny (well, okay, sometimes it is, but only because he makes himself the butt of the joke with his hypocrisy.) It's pathetic that he tries to continue to spew his hatred when he's caught out like this.

I don't think anyone here would give a fart in a windstorm if Virus showed up tomorrow and said, "Yep, I admit it, I did post the ad, I'm gay--or at least bi-curious. Everything I've said in the past about gays was a smokescreen and I won't do it again" and then never posted another homophobic rant again. But as long as he continues making a hypocrite of himself, people are going to continue pointing out his hypocrisy.

To be perfectly honest, the 10th thread about gay marriage is already so tiresome I'll happily go way the fUCk overboard on any thin pretext at all.

Fair warning, maybe a bit late in this case.

Erm, Varus isn't gay (that I know of). The body of his ad was him talking about trying to find a chick. Presumably he checked the wrong body in the dating ad settings because he's mentally retarded.

Which was what made it funny when he first said he posted it because he likes to hook up with extra chicks and then started disavowing it and then claimed someone else made it.

Ok. Semi-serious question:

Do you actually honestly think that Varus is gay? I don't want the stereotypical "All Conservatives opposed to gay marriage are really secretly in the closet homosexuals". I want an honest answer if possible.

Regardless of the 'story', I'm pretty sure we all assume that some goofup occurred which resulted in that posting on that site. Whether it was varus joking around, someone making a joke on him, or whatever is kinda irrelevant, isn't it? So the humor angle is funny for awhile, but to play the hypocrisy card on top of that is fallacious, isn't it?

Lol. I buy that!

To be fair though, the 10th time the Left attempts to get the courts to counteract the laws passed and voted on by the people is kinda tiring too...

I honestly think he's gay.

In the same sense that I think moving my favorite TV show to a new timeslot is gay.
